Thx for your answer.

it crashes on Windows 7 when I try:
Code:
importprivkey aprivatewuffkeyofapaperwalletforxmas
in the console.
It can take up to 3-5 minutes to importprivkey.  I did 4 yesterday and it it averaged about 3 min. per key.  The one with the most doge took almost 5.

You got my hopes up. I tried again.

But no, it's a crash. And not after minutes but immediately.
This is the ...

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Just one question: is better use small pool? i knew the opposite  Huh

You knew right... small miners will be better off in large pools, not small ones (variance)

thanks man!

On a totally different subject does anyone know how you go about starting a faucet/doge interface etc? Is theres some API documentation somewhere? I assume its all written in PHP which isnt my strongest language but id be interested in taking a look - not managed to find anything looking about not sure what to search for!

If it's just about talking to the daemon and having it do random transfers to whatever Dogecoin address is supplied from a web interface then it's very straight-forward. If you just summon the commandline client with "help" as parameter you get a list of RPC calls and their syntax.
Thanks! looking into it now!

So yes people stop panic'ing the coin is currently selling 3 * less it's true value. It's a buying oppertunity!

I wonder where you get that very precise information from. Did you get some divine information whispered in during the night of what the precise value of dogecoin at the moment is? Did that source also predict the precise future values, separate from what the exchange rate would be?

Exchange rate is a market concensus. So unless you have some information than most of us don't, I would consider the market to show the right value and your estimate to be, at least for this moment, to be a pipe dream.

there is a fundamental flaw in your thinking

doge is supposed to be a relaxed comedy coin which could also be used by cool people that prefer it cause its not serious.

YOU ARE VERY SERIOUS WHEN YOU HAVE ANXIETY ABOUT THE PRICES GO UP DOWN

DOGE TO THE MOON MAKE ME RICH PLEASE PLEASE IS VERY ANTI COOL

Trying to out-do DOGE.
Far too late to the game  Roll Eyes

Have you read that thread? There isn't even a developer yet.

No, the daemon can be compiled for any platform. The qt-client is also the daemon, but with a GUI infront. If you want a hand with getting the RPC part of things to work give me a priv msg.

Well, not exactly, but 44-45 is pretty good for me. There is a lag for transfer and autosell after they stop mining DOGE. And they don't even stopped.

so what are the long term thoughts for DOGE?

I just found 1.1 mil in a pool account i forgot i mined in on the day of release and now i dont know wether to sell them and take the .5 BTC or hold out for a price rise.

I had a similar scenario with NET coin and i sold early for $500 but if i held it would now be worth $50,000 so its an annoying position to be in lol. (never complain about a profit though!)

if there is going to be development for the coin i'll hold for a few months and hope for a much better return ^.^ any advice would be greatly received.

Woof!

Is .5 BTC really worth it?

The coin is only 2 weeks old and all the early miners are dumping. Look at the buy orders at the minute, there are plenty of people willing to buy the coin at its current value.

All the multipools have got hold of it and dumping it for little value. When it becomes harder to mine, they'll forget about it.

It'll go up, all just a question of when?

When difficulty and price make mining it less profitable than another coin.
