There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

if you search in google and watch at price and popularity of dogecoin, you will see that maximum popularity growth was 3-4 days ago, when big giveaways were gifted in change of hundreds BLOGS, SITES POSTS AND REPOSTS.
After those day no more big Giveaways were done, so No giveaways - less advertising - less people know - growth start to decrease, so we need repeat this cicle of Giveaways and advertisment to attract new people..

Maybe i will do giveaway too(but i have not many dogecoins), i will see if i have time for this - i'll try.
But i am shocked that big holders og dogecoin can't get, that they are loosing if don't invest part of coins in advertising.

gencoinx - would you be happy for me to setup a domain hosting these images in some sort of gallery for those wanting to promote? Could be the beginning of some sort of advertising banner source for others with websites?

I'm trying to use https://www.multipool.us, but i have some trouble.

Is it normal that when i add a worker i don't have to choose a password for it? i have to use my multipool account password on cgminer?

I tried cgmier with this string cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us:3352 -u 1 -p password_multipool, but it say "worker name not found".

Any help?

edit: -u username.1. now it works

pff.
Thats why ive suggested twice in this forum that the pools add a .1% fee that all goes to free giveaways but not 1 person responded or backed the idea. Its not down to 1 single person to give away their share, its down to the collective. If those mining are so bitter about using a pool with the additional fee then fuck them - but id guess 99% wont care.

tbh this thread is split 50/50 between jokes and suggestions. i think we need a proper marketting and ideas thread.

You will need to use your account username.workername (so username.1 in this case) and then just use x for the password

i5 3470k
HD 7870
4GB RAM

Was mining for an hour well trying to. Have yet to get anything :/
Sitting at 50-70 KH's, my cooling is not great so don't really want to push my GPU to much, can't get another one if it dies

50-70 kH/s? That is just your processor doing work, not the GPU. You are doing something wrong with your cgminer settings. The HD7870 can do between 300 and 500 kH/s depending on the model and miner settings.

Add to that, there are also some differences between the various pools. If you want something more consistent in rewards over time, a normal (non-p2p) and STABLE pool with low rejection rate is what you want to choose. I put my HD7990 rig in "silent mode" (700 kH/s) for 8-10 hours during the night, pointed it at miners-pool.eu, and with a rejection rate of 2.2% it got me about 16k of doges.

If you are somewhat serious in creating scrypt coins of any kind at a decent rate, you want to aim at 750-1000 kH/s as minimum. Check out the various AMD numbers here to get a clue of what the various GPUs can achieve with the right settings, and make sure you know how much power they consume and how much you pay per kWh of electricity: https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison

Your worker isn't called just "1", it's likely called yourusername.1, and you don't always have to set a password for the worker - if it's a p2pool then you just write anything as password. The suffixed digit is just to discern multiple miners you have working for the same account, in case you run multiple rigs.

Right on man. Soon, instead of climbing out of this ditch, we'll be climbing out of a crater on the moon!

coins-e seems to have a general problem with their entire market engine. Not a single */BTC/LTC pair is showing up.
