Dogecoin rose so quickly due to the Meme.  Those propaganda pictures don't even associate vaguely with the meme.

Dogecoin doesn't have any noteworthy characteristics or features to distinguish it from most other altcoins, except that all other altcoins try to be serious about themselves, while Dogecoin was just trying to be fun.  And it is fun and silly.

If the campaign of trying to spread Dogecoin was based on the meme, introducing people to cryptocurrencies in general, and was based on having fun trying to mine for the first time, and tipping people a bunch of dogecoins for fun, I'd be all for it.

But there's so many people trying to spread it as a serious coin,  ruining Dogecoin's main advantage, which is that it is supposed to be fun.  The only motivation for these people is to try and get rich and nothing else.

49,680,000,000 Dogecoins will be dug within the next 2 months.  That will be nearly half of all the Dogecoins.  720,000,000 dogecoins are dug each day.  I just can't imagine the current 100 satoshi cost per dogecoin to be sustainable.  It is one thing if people are just saving coins they mine to hold onto, but I really hope people aren't putting their real money and bitcoins on the line.  

There's so many coinswitching pools mining Dogecoin because it is currently the most profitable coin to mine when you convert it to Bitcoins.  I'm sure its been said multiple times here already, but these pools just dump the coins they find as soon as possible and sell them for bitcoins. 

I just hope people don't lose a bunch of their money from buying up Dogecoins, I hope it is successful and lasts awhile.  I would just hate for people to lose money, be frustrated and upset over it, when Dogecoin is supposed to be fun.

I think Doge is dieing... I don´t want because I mined it and I have got a "very a lot" but It has been mined very fast and big block rewards does not help to increase its price.

No DOGE is very alive Look at Vircurex They just added it today so there are lots of people cashing out But they are stupid and it is not like their sell orders are sitting People are buying these coins up and most likely taking those coins and setting them at a higher value

So if anyone is afraid of what may happen to their DOGE simply set the sell order higher and as the whales start to buy these cheap coins Eventually your sell orders will be bought up as the price surges and people think that DOGE is destined for the moon within the week

I am holding my doges. I don´t expect doges increase to 1$. But people is selling very very cheap.

if you see sell orders you can notice that there are pepople who is trying to manipulate prices down because there are sell orders below 100 satoshis but that orders are with a few doges.

Problem is it's the most profitable thing to mine and dump right now, so we have to wait until that is no longer a thing and pump like hell once it's hard to mine. I'd say it's 2-3 months until block rewards halve unless more LTC pools move over.

history does repeat but it rhymes. the coin closest to DOGE in term of total coin is IFC. The chart show almost exactly the move DOGE doing right now.

as price fail, those buy at 200 satoshi would not sell at 100, so need NEW btc come in. right now about 3000btc a day. that more than NVC in a month (at 12th place vs. 13rd of DOGE).

please note that I don't hate DOGE but I hate those saying DOGE to the moon. you actually will lose many DOGE supporters BTC/real money. DOGE worth invest/support/buy in but not at 100 satoshi.

BTW, am I right that the volumes for DOGE on Cryptsy, coinedup and vircurex are pretty low at the moment? I don't see much movement.

Hey, sorry for spam, but can someone with some decent rigs throw some hashes at http://doge.bettercoin.org ?  3 days, not a single block!  Whatever Doge's going to be worth I really would hate for miners not to get anything for their time... So, if you have some hash power, throw it our way -- there is a 25k reward for first block finder!
