Hi OOC

Pointing this out for you:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.0

Pool: solo.ckpool.org
Website: solo.ckpool.org
Payout: Proportional I guess, but it's a full block reward pool
Fee: 0.5%
Orphans: No
Pay tx rewards: Yes

If you read the thread above it might help you decipher the mystery about what was the Icedrill project you mentioned in your last blogpost as well.

EDIT: Vardiff targeting 18spm

For just a second I thought "Proportional? Wha...?!!" then I laughed at myself. Also I didn't see anything there about Icedrill?

Few questions:
 * You going to be signing the coinbase for miners at your pool?
 * Is the generation tx going to the miner (and the fee address) directly? Or is it being paid to one address, and split from there?
 * Also, will you be keeping track of shares? Even though it's a solo pool, it's probably a good idea to keep track of pool luck.

Edit: I started a new section "Solomining pools" - you're not the first, probably wont be the last since you've open-sourced the pool.

Coinbase is will be signed by the pool solo.ckpool.org if it finds any blocks.
Generation txn goes directly to miner as it says on the post. There are no pool wallets and distribution.
At this stage I'm not keeping track of shares. I'm running it barebones at the moment which requires almost no resources at all. We'll see what demand is like and I can reconsider.

EDIT: Added vardiff info to earlier post

Also I didn't see anything there about Icedrill?

This pool is designed to fill a niche and be complementary to a comprehensive regular pooled mining solution currently under development with the ckpool code which will hopefully be able to open up to the public in the near future.

Hi All,

Testing is now complete, welcome to Jointhebitcoincloud.com!

We are offering users a BONUS 1 BTC as a block finder bonus to encourage users to the pool.

If we reach 1 Petahash that is the possibility of getting 1 BTC once everyday at the current rate.   Cool

Didnt pass firewall checks. So this is not good for me.

I would have thought stratum on port 443 would pass the firewall, but it's possible it will notice that stratum is not TLS (https). However getblocktemplate on port 80 I'm pretty sure will work, because getblocktemplate IS http. You'll probably need to force your mining client to use getblocktemplate and not try to switch to stratum on port 3333 though.

That said, mining at work is not a good idea unless you have permission.

stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:443
http://mint.bitminter.com:80 (add options to force getblocktemplate or disable stratum, so your client won't switch when the server says "by the way, we have stratum on 3333")

Some clients/hardware today may only support stratum.

10x for info. But our admin dont allow most of thing cuz we have been lawsuit for illegal transfer so we are limited for net use.
Maybe when they finished new network installment next year something better happen.

Also i will try this what you have mentioned. Hope it will give some resultants always was error decode failed or failed to connect

Hi William,

thanks for formatting your request, makes it so much easier to enter. If added you to the list, but I'm not sure about the variable difficulty - it is user defined or automatic?
