I dont know what is the difference with OT (Open Transactions), moreover when a new IPO is launched they dont accept XCP but BTC indeed, as mentioned in others post neither exist a wallet offline so all transactions are exposed in online browser and by lack off knowledge or security measures by user part. PTS (ProtoShares) at least assure that every DAC  broadcast in the blockchain has to honoring the whole comunity and the shares are irrevocable but XCP is not, i don't see any advantage using XCP since the fundraising is not in this currency and the posible liabilities are managed without the XCP system.

The XCP online wallet works so far so good, but I think most of people still want a local wallet/client to manage their funds. I had a look of the binaries at official website(https://www.counterparty.co/get-started/), they are not up to date. Can the dev spend some time to update them.

An one button installing package is very helpful for new users, can the dev take this as a work plan?

Web wallet is more important in this stage. It's very helpful for more non-tech users to use XCP and help spreading.

I try to import the xcp from my old counterwallet to new counterwallet by private key.
It shows:

Import funds by "sweeping" them from another external address you own into one of your wallet address.
Preparing output for transactions chaining

And got stuck at 'Preparing output for transactions chaining'. Anyone can help me? thanks!

Seems you have not enough fund and too much outputs for this address. Can you please send me by email or mp the address.

Agreed, having an easy to use interface on the web wallet to create, manage and participate in betting will be absolutely huge for CP.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Counterparty can only brodcast a binary outcome, not a Team1 won/ Team2 won / Draw game outcome. This could work for the second stage (tournament style with direct elimination) but not for the group stage where draws are allowed. Or in case of a draw at group stage, the feeder could cancel the bet, and return the wagered XCP to everyone (a workaround but a bit strange IMO)

Actually I'm wrong, according to this wiki page https://wiki.counterparty.co/w/Enhanced_Feed_Info_in_Counterwallet, a draw can be listed.

Anyway, this could be a great PR for XCP if the interface is noob firendly on counterwallet !

I just want to say that I got some maidsafecoins.. and I'm definitely excited about the concept.. Mastercoin has tons of wallets, and so far my experience has been.. in all honesty, that all I can imagine is using Counterparty instead of Mastercoin for maidsafe This is an incredibly big problem Mastercoin has on its hands.. I tried using omniwallet to send my maidsafe to masterxchange (because masterxchange doesn't allow importiing private keys) ..ridiculous. omniwallet does.. and gets error messages when trying to send ... It's been nightmarish.

However one thing I've see quite clearly.. is that Counterparty is very much ahead of the game.

With all of Mastercoins hype, funding, etc., how is it that they couldn't manage to get working products? And why in the hell are they holding crowdfunding on top of things that don't even work yet.

This was a topic of much discussion.
Many believe the developers of maidsafe must have held a large stake of MSC or at least knew someone who did which allowed them to design the IPO in a way so as to profit the most.

Someone definitely profited off of the poorly thought out (or maybe it was greatly thought out, for profit) IPO.

If you invested via MSC you received a much higher stake than if you invested via BTC.

Regarding why mastercoin hasn't accomplished much I can only speculate. According to one of the last newsletters the developer was being limited in the amount of hours he could work on the project by his wife.

What this means is that all though they had a surplus of funding, not much of it was being spent because of his limited availability.
That changed a little while ago when the developer decided to leave his university program to develop for MSC full time about half a year ago (as can be seen by the increase in production lately).
Fortunately counterparty has a great team of developers so there is not that one central point of failure.

I don't think you mean masterxchange above (one of the wallets probably).

Although only a Bitcoin address is required to create a log of a fundraiser (mastercoin, counterparty) Mastercoin said their system couldn't accept Bitcoin and created a convoluted system of loaning mastercoin as a means to get round this non-existent problem!! this was part of a scheme to sell around 20% of all mastercoins in existence which had to be purchased on the free market in order for their software to work! (reason for the price move to 0.2 for which they created a BS excuse to explain!).

Counterpartys not just ahead of the game in software it's also ahead because if a company wants to distribute assets they don't have to start purchasing most of the XCP in existence or have that niggling worry perhaps people might not want to sell!!

Maidsafe have given two-thirds of the maidsafecoin pie to mastercoin holders in return for $50000 worth of mastercoins (total market depth), and one third to Bitcoin holders for $3000000 doesn't make sense.
