Considering how well the *Half Hour* 400 Guarantee is going would you consider a tournament that starts on the hour, every hour, 800 guarantee 95 + 5 buy in?
Also, the On The :15 never plays. Maybe get rid of that one to clear up space for the on the hour guarantee.
Or, as an alternative, or in addition to, maybe consider bumping the *Half Hour* 400 Guarantee up to 500 Guarantee. And slowly keep increasing the guarantee over time so that the tournament grows into something really big.

It is going a lot better than a few weeks ago, but at 12:30 today it only got 2 players. Any guarantee that runs around the clock has potential to get pricey.

I didn't know it had super slow periods like that. Better to wait until it's more consistent. It's nice to see consistent tourney action. It would just be nice if there were bigger tourney action, either in number of players or buy-in amount.

Yes, I'm thinking about running a tourney series with some higher buy-ins to get some data about what we might be able to support on an ongoing basis, but it is a pretty tricky art since without a guarantee or with a low-ball guarantee enough interest is not generated, but a high buy-in with an ambitious guarantee can be quite a disaster.

Instead of a guarantee, you could add 10% or 20% if the pool was below a certain amount. Maybe have a minimum number to run it and cancel it if it doesn't meet that. That would limit exposure while still having an overlay.
That would probably have to be done manually, but the Big BTC started that way too.

I don't think that is as attractive to people. Part of the draw of a guarantee is the potential overlay, but a lot of people just want to know when there will definitely be a good tournament running.

What's being done to protect the assets of your users if the feds launch a full frontal attack against Seals?

I'm not sure why this should even be an issue. I don't walk out of a casino and leave my chips with the cashier, why would you leave SWC without withdrawing your BTC? Just like everything else in the BTC world, the responsibility of protecting the bitcoins is no ones except the user's. I personally feel that anyone that leaves their BTC in anyone elses control should expect them to be stolen.

Yes, taking them back when you aren't using them is indeed the only way you will know your coins are safe. I suppose if we are incarcerated it will not be possible to return them in a timely manner, but they won't get your coins by seizing the server, which is in Iceland and possibly non-trivial to do anyway. We have db backups and should be able to return funds safely and relatively speedily without the current server, but a more detailed plan should be developed and announced.

Giving out 100 chip buy-ins to the upcoming 5 bitcoin guaranteed tourney in about 2 hours. Just post a seals username on the thread listed below on my poker forum / podcast site Donkdown: (it can be a burner for all I care) and post on DD, I'll ship the 100 chips, you play the tourney / don't need to send anything back to me / no catch: http://www.donkdown.com/forum/11-17-100-chip-seals-tourney-3pm-vegas-time-stakes-inside-t86627.html
