Deposits are often instant. Amounts less than 0.01BTC are not credited until they total 0.01BTC.

There's a QR code but I can't trust it when there's no visible address.

There should be a deposit address in your My Account page.  Also, if there's a qr code, that typically just loads the address into your wallet app, so you should be able to confirm that an address is loaded before depositing.

Seals doesn't use changing deposit addresses, so you can test with .01 BTC ( or about 15 cents) if you'd like to confirm it works before depositing more.

Yes.  There SHOULD be.  Earlier today, there wasn't.

Bryan Micon was personally processing deposits while they worked on it.  It's fixed now.

Yes, our bitcoind was down for about 2 hours today. Thanks Micon for handling some cashins.

That QR code ought not show an address that any client would send to, just an empty QR code, but it should get automatically disabled when the page doesn't receive an address from now on.

Because of what happened today I realized that slow My Account page loads are caused by slow communication with bitcoind, so we're caching them and that page will load much faster in the future. And when bitcoind is down you'll still be able to get a hash (provided it has served one to you since today). Of course a deposit won't be processed until bitcoind is back up, but that should be rare and short, I can't remember the last time it happened and I think I know what caused it today and that won't happen again.

That's why you should stay logged into the poker games when you get in the office.

I'm very sorry for the recent down time.

We did make some upgrades today while we were down. Connection messages and re-connection attempts should be more robust. Please let me know if you notice improvements (or not).

Any log-in or load-up problems that may have been caused by a bad or missing sound card should be fixed now.

Well, since this was the next thing I was going to start bitching about again, I'll look.  Of hundreds of disconnects (including one with aces in the 60 BTC after which I cashed out in a ragequit), I have only seen the dialogue box indicating the client software is attempting to reconnect twice, and it didn't work either time.

Since at least some of my connect issues (though not all) are on my end, although they are generally transient spikes that instantly go away (and all my other clients immediately reconnect without problem), a functioning reconnect would be fantastic.

We're having apache problems. It seems to work for about 15 seconds after I restart it which I'll keep doing while I investigate. If you are quick you can log in and get to the software which is stable.

heh, I was in, but then browser crashed... now no longer getting it to come up...

EDIT2: "(net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the connection."  Is this the error everyone is getting?

This also reminds me of the point in the movie "The social network" when the website goes down and they are talking about how that even a brief interruption like this can kill the site.  Luckily, I think this time of day is not as crucial, but something to keep in mind.
