This coin is very promising. Do we have a rough estimate of its value? Like $1?
Edit: voted on cryptsy. A small problem with the wallet is that it's hard to sync and I had to open and close several times. Not sure why?  Huh

Until the current issues are ironed out and it hits a real exchange, ~$.10 is what I believe is fair. But in the end demand sets all prices. What is smartcoin doing to create that demand?(Just to ponder no answer needed)

I'd speculate it's a good bit higher than that. At that price all the miners' coins would have a total value of just over 10,000 USD and we know that's not true. I'm not disclosing how many i have but i know that with only my share of coins I wouldn't sell them for less than 500 USD but that's because of speculation and hope that the value does increase. I think a fair price that should be expected in the exchanges is roughly 0.002 BTC/SMC. Just my thoughts though.

Why would a coin out for only a few hours have a market value 6 figures plus? It would be silly to think it more. I want my coins to be worth alot more but I dont see how these coins have earned a value that high. Yet.

It's not the ACTUAL value I'm speaking of but rather the ASSUMED value. The cost of electricity alone from mining all these coins the last 25 hours is probably above $3,000-5,000 if added up from all the miners. So shouldn't the ASSUMED value of the coins be at minimum double what we have already spend on electricity? I'm not saying that this is the price that will be out on exchanges, I'm just saying I think 0.002BTC/SMC is a fair trade at the moment.

Ask CoinMarket.io to add SMC if you want it on a good but not so big exchange:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=422726.0

I have been using coinmarket a lot in the last 3 days, hundreds of trades, they are fast and reliable!! I can send dgb from my wallet to Coinmarket, sell them for btc and send my btc to Coinbase all in less than 5 minutes total!! Try that on Cryptsy, Coinmarket is amazing so far.

Meh we could argue what its worth all day but it doesn't matter. People will pay what they can and sell for what they hope its worth. Your speculated price is fairer than whats being traded already. I personally would sell my coins to the person offering the most money for them so as of now a value really can't be applied or agreeded on. Sell it for what you can now or hold it till it hits a large exchange and maybe it will really pay off.

We are currently rectifying the issue, as we have had a few people to SQL inject into our database and it messed a few things up. It is now showing full block rewards and we are about to run a cron to update the missing coins. Don't worry your shares and coins are still there

It looks like we can send 300 emails per day until the DNS propagates. We'll start sending them out tonight.

I actually got more coins mining with xhash.net then I did with smc.hash.so. Big pools are not better

Blocks on xhash.net:
- last 24 hours: 82

Blocks on hash.so
- last 24 hours: 1355

let's do a simple math:
Considering block 2702 on xhash.net:
- with 104 PPLNS shares you cashout 0.90494749

Considering block 1670 on hash.so
- with 104 PPLNS shares you cashout 0.10926651

Now...

82 x 0.90494749 = 74,20569418 / 24h in xhash.net

1355 x 0.10926651 = 148,05612105 / 24h in hash.so

What did you said ? Cheesy

Sounds great!

Will you send some instructions how to pull the file into the wallet? I'm a noob.

You also have to consider the luck factor and what percentage those rounds were completed at.

I have made more on xhash today than I did on hash.so yesterday.

Very true. However, last night the pool hashrate was pretty low, so the luck felt a lot. Right now hash.so is at 1GH/s, the bad luck of hash.so can't be 2 times worst than on xhash.net. All you can get is same cashout in the worst case ever, but not lower cashout on hash.so than xhash. Too big difference.
But yeah, it feels nicer when you get more coins per block, the brain makes you more happy thinking that you won more, but in 24h time period is not really same Smiley

I could have saved myself soo much grief if I hadn't used this address in my conf file, stratum+tcp://pool-us.hash.so:1337/  as shown on the front page of smc.hash.so. I put in the correct smc.hash.so and it is all working perfectly now, getting coins, not disconnecting.  Wish I had known this 24 hours ago. Oh well, at least it is stable and coins are going in my wallet. So, I said smc.hash.so was a scam pool, it is not a scam, BUT, they should put a note by the address on their front page letting people know that that is not the correct one to use.

"30,000 SMC will be allocated into a faucet at launch." Any chance this is gonna happen? Hopefully a free open faucet you don't have to join and become a member of. Does anyone know of any faucets beside the join up Death Coins Warehouse one?
