@Rofo If POS is your focus try contacting Palmdetroit , he devs a POS coin. Listed below are his rates https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=840951.0Then have the noble community help pay for it, because you are carrying too much of the weight by yourself.

For those who are not aware, #noblecoin channel on freenode is the public irc channel for this project.
Yup, lots of tips at the moment On another matter, Cryptonit, any news on how the PoS code is getting on? doesnt look good at the moment cant give any ETA it will be a big delay or we need to withdraw from the deal because we cant deliver in time make no sence to sweettalk a bitter situation.... This is entirely my fault. I started working on merging the Diamond and NobleCoin code bases, but unfortunately some "real world" matters forced me to slow down the process. Not cryptonit's fault at all -- he in fact tried to remind me few times of my promises... Unlikely to have it finished before the end of the year, I will be constantly traveling until then. Sorry for this. In any case, I intend to complete that project, so if you do not have a solution by then, you might use it -- a Diamond variant that runs on the NobleCoin's blockchain. If not, it will be just a coding exercise for me

I will be contacting Palmdetroit today and hopefully discussing his help for a clean wallet swap using Bittrex as a host. I have the funds to pay for both and for his ongoing support for PoS protocol updates if he is happy to work with us. His name has come up more than once as a trustworthy source and I'm glad it looks like he's now more open to working with others. So if he is happy to help let's not scare him away with any toxicity Also, thank you for dropping in and letting us know Dan. I think we should just deliver a wallet swap rather than a hard fork now since we've all painfully waited long enough (not for you I mean, just in general trying to deliver a hard fork over a swap). We will still be working with DMD in the future for marketplace/mining services as I believe you are a good team with good intentions but just struggle with balancing real world with crypto. and I know how that feels all too well. I'd thank everyone for their patience, but it's already been extended beyond what is bearable (mine included)

Can't say I'm not jealous of them pulling that off (congratulations). NOXT was my answer to raising funds. Hopefully they set a precedent and I get an offer like that one day (otherwise I will now have the funds be more proactive, travel and present business proposals also).

Let's see how the wallet swaps go - got a good feeling about this.

Well things got to move ahead at some point! It will be interesting to see if the MintPal NOBL get converted, or if they become a lost "donation"... Another interesting development for PoS is the "hashstaker" by GAW, hopefully it won't become "the multipool of proof of stake", but this will be something to watch for. A well tuned cloud-based staking service should split its coins into outputs of the perfect size for staking, and should be able achieve a high staking rate to maximize compound interest. It will also mean a higher PoS difficulty, and if that happens, any problems on their end could become problematic. Let's also hope they'll play fair, they could achieve 51% of the staking power quite easily on many PoS coins with a few well-tuned 24/7 servers.

Maybe people started to realize that half of noxt will be sold for burnt nobles, I thought the market will react way sooner, but better then never I guess

as GAW dedected themself they wont be long the only provider of such services even we at diamond team analyze possibilities and to stake 51% of something u need 51% of ALL coins in open wallets thats not that easy at least not at active coins with a userbase

Yes, but the key is not all the coins, but the coins in staking wallets, and at certain times of day, there are not too many wallets open, usually only VPS wallets are open 24/7, so that's a smaller subset, and an attacker could take out some of them through targeted DDOS. With current low market caps, this probably would not be worth the trouble, but once/if the million dollar range is reached, this would be a different matter.
