We just mined block 28273.

http://explorer.vertcoin.org/block/32d1cc11ab49c1c0dea38fe0cc5e4e203d6df925b0e421b608a07dfd6ba7c292

I'm quite certain that I submitted shares, yet no payout?  I really don't want to go to a regular pool, but I can't keep burning electricity for nothing...

VsHajHprZ5vWP96Nr8xTkwJHywgVKPz28Q

This is me if anyone would like to take a look...

I'm sorry - it seems my pool just beat you to it! http://explorer.vertcoin.org/block/4a31473891064f615e190d2368fef2fe11f6690420f85b08fc7e0e54c43f91af

I suspect your block is about to go orphan, but who knows - mine might! Good luck.

EDIT: PS. maybe you got unlucky on 28278, but p2pool just mined 28279 and 28280 back-to-back, so your luck seems to have turned!

And still no payout.  What gives?

Seems like i'm not getting paid using P2p?

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/12797/why-is-my-p2pool-share-not-payed-out

Note that the hashrate he mentions refers to litecoin

Very odd. I will see if the pool owner is in IRC now. Please try another node - my own at vtcpool.co.uk:9171 for example.

LEAVE BITCRUSH NOW

If you are mining at Bitcrush, please STOP

If these pool operators can't keep on top of their proportion of the hashrate, and don't care enough about the network to temporarily disable registrations, hit them where it hurts - right in the pocket.

From now on, I will have no hesitation in posting a similar note, and repeatedly spamming the thread with it to take users away from them if another pool does the same. No-one has to listen to me, but hopefully a few of you will see the importance of moving away from a pool that's getting too big.

Please move to p2pool if you are able. There is a nodelist at http://p2pool.vertcoin.org:9172/ and a guide to p2pool at https://vtcpool.co.uk/p2pool-guide.html

If you prefer a traditional pool, at the moment, all of these pools are quite small, and are good candidates to move to, they are also all pools that have been around for a while and seem trustworthy and reliable (the Vertcoin.org ones are owned by vertcoin himself, and I believe the vertcoin.in ones as well, vtc.pool.pm has been around for a while and seems good):

EU.VERTCOIN.ORG - Hashrate: 0 Khash/s - Workers: 0
VTC.POOL.PM - Hashrate: 3.62 Mhash/s - Workers: 79
NY.VERTCO.IN - Hashrate: 3.05 Mhash/s - Workers: 43
HK.VERTCO.IN - Hashrate: 3.73 Mhash/s - Workers: 14
LA.VERTCOIN.ORG - Hashrate: 5.03 Mhash/s - Workers: 22

Yeah, you're right, it's too big now and keep getting bigger. I'm moving to another more stable and fast pool from the list!

Is this posted on reddit and everywhere else vtc & pool related?

If not please do so...thanks.

Just started getting payments, I think it's due to PPLNS.

Will watch and if things change, I'll try your node.

Thanks!

Just signed up here though I've been a long time reader in these forums whenever I needed a solution to my crypto-issues!

Anyways,  I just wanted to throw it out there that I'm currently using a P2Pool node to mine Vertcoin and I started getting consistent shares in 10 minutes  Smiley
I was hesitant at first because when I was mining litecoin it took almost 30+ hours to get my first share.  I'm no expert at this but I hope this information
helps someone on making a decision on what method to use for mining or is frustrated with their current payout system.

So we've broken a million dollar market cap and 1G# worth of regular scrypt mining in one day! Nice!

I checked out what the coin distribution is like address wise in Vertcoin, at least no one has 100k+ (highest single balance is 40009 vtc) in one address Tongue

Code:
Vertcoin address balances

Balance      Num. Addresses  Total          % of All Coins
100000-      0               0              0.0
10000-99999  19              374544.3411    26.427
1000-9999    238             636822.5460    44.932
100-999      1026            293993.7829    20.743
10-99        2376            109751.8447    7.744
1-9          547             2032.2181      0.143
0-0.999..    46064           105.2636       0.007

Total coins                  1417300

Edit: added totals and percentages

1-9          531

Nice.. pretty fair distribution so far, i think.  Really think this coin has a great future ahead if we stay on this trend.

I need people to look over my proposal for Vertcoin in the following post.  It's buried near the end of the page, so get to reading:

vtc.pool.pm is broken

All of pool.pm's blocks are orphaned, again. Any hashes you send their way are wasted. Please switch pools. Please consider p2pool if you are a large miner.

So to summarize.. a bit of inflation is good for currency... yes, agree Smiley

I think bitcrush is fine now, 200 mH vs 660 mH/s network overall.. (wow that climbed fast today!)

Congratulations to the developers, you guys nailed the launch. Well done...

Bumping the thread for Vertcoin (the poster)... I tried to catch the moment it happened but didn't quite. Close though. I will try and be quicker at $10 million.
