Hmm. Difficulty seems to be going up again. As does the BTC/USD rate. Good.

Can someone provide a link, instructions, or tutorial on how to join a p2p pool? I just figured out how to mine in a traditional pool. But I only have one gpu. I am thinking I should be able to do better in a p2p pool, correct?
Variance will be higher in p2pool than a normal pool. You connect just like a normal pool, but use your payment address as the username and any password as password. As a tiny miner you should either run p2pool yourself, or add "/.00001" to your username when you connect. That will increase the dust in your wallet (smaller payouts) but will prevent the variance where you get very few payouts. (They will average out to your expected earnings long-term but most small miners get frustrated with public nodes if they don't use the /.00001 trick.) I'm running a patch atm to reduce small miner variance on my east p2pool node if you want to try it. Not as many shares as /.00001 but also less dust. Patch isn't needed if you install and run p2pool on your own computer.

I am still trying to get my brain around the tempo of coin markets, they move faster than most of what I am accustomed to. Sure looks like a floor on btc though. Noticed this has been the longest streak of down days for I could find on the chart http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitstamp/btcusdSo considering we launched into that... I am cautiously bullish on cryptos today and if we can move into the green I have little doubt Vert will be top performer.

How much difference can a well setup pool make?? If you know how pools work, this will make your mouth water...
So according to your pool's block found stats as of this posting: Time Frame | Blocks Found | Last Hour | 0 | Last 24 Hours | 11 |
Now let's take another pool, such as Bitcrush: Time Frame | Blocks Found | Last Hour | 3 | Last 24 Hours | 100 |
I'm not quite seeing how your pool is better in this case...?

Could one of the developers please address this issue: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=416572.msg4971799#msg4971799There have been several people in that thread that responded they had the same issue. I am worried that this will kill my cards. I have had this problem after a day of mining VTC on two separate rigs (different cards too, 7950 and 280X). Short recap of the issue: After mining VTC for some time, some cards start showing 511 C and 0 RPM in Vertminer, are not hashing, and get very hot. Even after coldreboot, the problem does not go away, and also appears in normal cgminer (which previously never exhibited this issue). It seems it is necessary to turn off and wait some time before it starts working again. I've never had this problem with the normal cgminer. On some of my 7950s, after this issue occured, I never reached back the same hashrate as before (about 50KH/s lower in normal cgminer). Vertminer 0.5.3. I also noticed that when I use I13, TC8193 on my 280X (the I13 is crucial), I will get 1 or 2 HW errors when I start vertminer, but no (or not many) more after that. I am wondering if this could be related. However at I12 I cannot get more than around 270 KH/s, while I get 360 on I13.

rsx19, You might have more luck in the Vertcoin setting thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=416572.0(And I have no experience with CUDA at all, sorry)
