Yeah i think the same way as a new investor in this coin. In order to buy a good amount of VERT i would like to see what is planed for the foreseeable future.
Some sort of whitepaper with plans for the next few months. And then simply a progress on all projects.

I have good number of vtc and mining it at full...
BUT
Since a while I see degradation here... When I asked for developers - I was answered with counter like how I dare to ask even....
Well I am aware developers did good well for coin... they were considered and discussed here and there as great pack of devs...
Last time when they put some info - which was pretty while ago considering what happened till now... (guess last bigger thing was merge mining which was left to life itself... - was some info about what they will work...
So yeah... someone as well posted here link to official vert forum - but honestly, basing on whats up there I consider it as pretty dead unfortunatelly Basing on last interesting info posted there I am not even eager to ask there for bigger questions

Now to the point.
This coin was looking as one of most stable and pro... well I would wish to say still looking ... but only part would fit Lack of progress... lack of anything happening to rise this coin simply look like get into on hold mode...
I am pretty sad about this... Yes I do have no time to work for this coin... but I am miner and investor who mining and buying it so my part is about this... Now question is ... DOES THIS COIN STILL HAVE pro devs? If so why they simply are not anywhere lastly? Working on something? Dont have time to do this?
Whats next step for this coin and simply when can be expected :/

I am sure that waiting just for luck when miners switch to us is idiotic... even when asics swarm scrypt coins and miners start switching- WE MUST BE PREPARED to offer something great!!!!!

Sadly currently I feel little as bag holder and bigger miner of this coin with just smaller then before perspective that this coin will be the true future of anty-asics coin...

Please everyone understand already that:
- this coin was based as to be anti asic!
- this coin was/is? strong because our devs taking care of it and working on it all time
- this coin had/has? future because many of us believe on it as best/pro/stable/organized coin that will face upcommoing asics and will handle upcomming gpu miners
BUT if this coin will happen to look like:
- no info from devs about anything
- no prospects for future projects for this coin
- small interest of coin by community
- all time falling price
- everyone just waiting  for rise from itself
- etc etc
THEN ... answer yourself what this will mean....

So OR we believe and try to work out best ways for coin OR we just sit down doing nothing and checking and burking around...
Like I wrote - I do appeal to everyone... I personally have no time to promote, develop etc etc as I need to work to earn money to pay bills for electricity for mining THIS COIN!

Anything coming up for VertCoin ? I loved this coin but with all the POS/Anonymous craze, the only advantage, if there is one, is the ASIC resistant part which might not even hold if the price picks up?

Why should vertcoin only be ASIC resistant and nothing else ? Just like LiteCoin, they don't do nothing and expect people to blindly jump on board. They don't have the "network effect" of a coin like bitcoin and they don't do much for their own coin in terms of innovation either.

Vertcoin right now looks like a pale copy of litecoin. A copy of a copy of a copy really washed up. Think I'm going to drop this bag to someone else and jump into the nxt band wagon. I'd rather have a coin premined at 90% with a lot of innovation than one 0% premined with 0 innovation.

You are positioning yourself as an "investor" looking for more info. Fine. Good.

As an investor you need to do some diligence right? right.

Im sorry, but if every new person got spoonfed info everytime they post in this thread and other sources it would become an endless repetition of nonsense.

So do your own diligence. It requires work and nobody will do that for you. Read the entire 485 page thread. Read the reddit (ugh). Read the official pages. Hang around the IRC. Focus on the posts by boris, othe, Bengte, and the other devs. They have been extremely open, vocal, and professional in updating the community.

Let the devs do their work, and you do your own. Nobody will protect your "investment" except yourself. If you are looking for others to give you answers on what is already in the public domain then it wont happen. Stop being lazy. And if your not willing to read the entire thread to familiarize yourself with the coins past and its future plans, then I advise you not to invest any money into anything. Ever.

Why would anybody help you if you cant help yourself. Every single question you asked has already been answered. Calling yourself a "verter" goes more then just holding coins. You have to know what you got yourself into. If you ask a legitimate question that furthers the discussion it will be addressed. Nobody is going to hold your hand. Yes there are things in the works. Let's not forget though, the reason most people who ask "what new development is taking place" is not because they are interested in new features, nor that they have any idea what those new features might be. The reason most people ask that is because they see "new features" as bringing attention, giving them a fresh opportunity to get in on the latest pump-and-dump. I'm not saying that's why you asked, but if it is, you're in the wrong place.

The PoS craze is typical pumping and dumping of coins with zero network security and no future whatsoever.

No we're not going to be adding Darkwallet or "masternodes" however we do have some privacy features in mind. We've always said we wouldn't be going down the anonymity route as it's antithetical to mainstream adoption.

Some of these guys just kill me, to call us a copy of litecoin just because we say we are asic resistant lets the community know how ignorant you are of what is actually going on. If you are new to this forum try reading back from 100 or so pages ago and update your knowledge. We are the only coin that promises not just to be asic resitant due to any algorithm, but to be asic resistant consciously and do everything in our power to discourage asics even if a company makes asics for vertcoin specifically we will take conscious steps to make that asic useless. If you feel the innovations of this coin are not enough and not to your liking and you are not even willing to research what innovations we have already accomplished then to be honest you probably shouldn't even bother with this coin to begin with.

Bag holders are not what keep vertcoin afloat, merchant adoption, innovation, and the will to be the most asic resistant coin in the crypto currency space is what keeps us afloat. You haven't even begun to see the value of this coin take shape but that is fine, hop on the next bandwagon and leave the negativity out of our community please
