Considering it's an anonymous coin, with a single dev (single point of failure) I'd imagine law enforcement would have an easy time bending him to their will if they so desired: http://xkcd.com/538/

This plus, who most easily has the money to buy up enough DRK to control most of the "masternodes" ?

Oh, to Deky who asked about a dev update, I'll try to remember to put something on the blog shortly, but basically we're busy with SX addresses

Thanks Boris, all good, no pressure, just wanted to see if you guys can keep it on the radar  Wink

I'm right there with ya, although I've already depleted my reserves.  There seems to be a lot of accumulation in the .00175 area.

Guys, we need to post developer's update on the blog. The last update was on April 11th. Not enough noise around the coin when scrypt ASICs are weeks away.

Thank you!

I lease three GPU rigs for script on LeaseNet and am feeling pressure from Gridseeds right now.

Lately I turned into more of a day trader...had to dump my vtc bag sadly...Not even mining vtc for now.

Might regret it but for now I'm out. Cryptos move too fast, it takes some massive balls to stick to one coin till the end.
Props to the other brave Vertans, no asics!

This coin is stable enough to be about the same for a few more weeks imo...you got time to come back  Kiss

Once everyone and their mom gets an asic, however, you will be too late!

Yeah, I agree...asics are starting to rape LTC and it shows.

I'll try to ROI on my dump first, then get some VTC back. Mining it is no longer feasible for me, but buying a few coins won't hurt.

However, I think it's spiraling the drain.  The merge-mining fad I think finally did it in.  It not only devalues newly mined coins but devalued everything that long time miners have worked for and it encourages the mine-and-immediately-sell mindset.

It will come back as usual. Merged mining has nothing to do with that. If you used to get 1 VTC you are still getting 1 VTC.

Of course, I still support that theory...vertcoin's plan helps in that regard, but it's more of a miner's perspective I admit it :p
