Not sure how correct this is and how asics fit into picture , but:

Looking at multipool.us avg profitability table:

0.00093793    Scrypt (Bitcoin/MH/day)
0.00329214    Scrypt-n (Bitcoin/MH/day)
0.00010385   X11 (Bitcoin/MH/day)

roughly 1MH Scrypt-n should be approx 2MH Scrypt or 10MH X11
so adjusting the numbers:

0.00187586 Scrypt (Bitcoin/MH/day)
0.00329214 Scrypt-n (Bitcoin/MH/day)
0.00103850 X11 (Bitcoin/MH/day)

Seems the scrypt-n dump can last a while as it is still times more profitable :/

Proof of what?
The only thing I see is that VTC price goes down AND SO DOES DIFFICULTY.
This means people are mining it LESS, not more.

If VTC price is going down, it's not because of miners dumping. It's either because buyers are drying out or because there's some whales selling.

difficulty down means more coin to mine per day and even at low price it still be mined and dumped... you look at the number and still deny it ?

number of coins mined per day has nothing to do w difficulty....its allways the same..

i did not talk about total number of coin mined... shhhh....
it is obvious that lower difficulty means more coin for mp when they mine vtc, and you still can twist my word....

this is a bad idea, this will mean lower difficulty for vtc and price in limbo, more vtc will be mined by mp and vtc real supporter will be burned... so sad

If no one want to mine scrypt-n why not just switch to another algo? Scrypt-N ASIC already announced.

Pow+Pos is safer...dynamic block reward based on difficulty should help with the price. If people are interested in the coin, price will naturally rise and if it does more miners will flock, which in turn will decrease inflation with lower coin supply.

Supporters can mine or hold their coins and get an interest and also help secure the chain.
If need be the algorithm can be changed, but still maintain the same principles.

I'd say that something needs to be done to avoid such inflation; but pow = $ when pos = air

You can say whatever you want to prove me wrong; but pow mining bring $ to your coin; when pos don't.

Changing algo / specs can solve the problem; but switching to pos will bring vtc at the same level than 1000 other pow/pos coins.

I didn't really follow what's going on; but if stealth address is a decent protocol and is released soon along with that change in specs; i could buy some more (even with stealth address not showing up soon); but switch to pos will make me run.

pure pow is bad because it reward dumper, pure pos is bad because it reward hodler.
pos/pow is ok i think, but would be better to limit pow according to coin inside wallet if possible as i suggest earlier.

100% POS is bad because it does not give value for coin. Reward depends on coins that you have, it is POW with POS style. But percent will need to be limited, I mean max reward in coins (e.g. someone has 10K vtc and percent will 10% he will get 1000 coins but max cap for reward is 100).  So everyone could just buy 1K and no more and dump all coins they will get.

PoS rewards are more complicated than that, a 3-5% yearly PoS rate is fine.
