Lol you guys are delusional.
Price of VTC is far from steady, if effectively lost 50% in 2 weeks period.
What do you think will happen to VTC price if BTC price drop 50% tomorrow ? Do you really believe that VTC is going to jump to .0024 because of this ? What are you guys smoking. If BTC price drop to 600$ the VTC price will be ~65 cents and the marketcap will drop accordingly...
You guys really have an inflationary problem. All POW coins will have this. Miners are here to profit with their rigs and will dump into buyers. That's just how it works. I'm not saying turn this into a POS coin, but this coin is FAR from being a good long term value retainer investment. You need people to buy the 30 000 VTC produced each and every day and they usually do that in masses when a coin reaches certain millstone.
I believe VTC could hit 2 of them in a very short period of time at the start of July when the ASICs get into the game and when they get closer to releasing the SX addres for now I'm very cautious with VTC. I bought 2k's yesterday and I'm very likely to dump them again as there is literally no support as of now and thing might just heat up in 2 weeks from now which is a very long time in cryptoland.
I honestly don't believe an altcoins USD value normally correlates BTC. For any coin to start getting pumped, it brings a bunch of panic buyers. For BTC to start pumping, it's going to catch everyone's attention. Judging from posts and discussions, everyone is trying to catch the next great bubble. Once the BTC pump settles, everyone will go back to what they were doing.

I have always been a believer of VTC, until recently I have had a lot of them but I have learned to not try to catch a falling knives, you might hurt yourself. I believe VTC might stabilize soon, once it's not longer ROI positive to mine it, only the firm believer will do and they will hold, until then. Be careful.

For BTC to start pumping, it's going to catch everyone's attention. Judging from posts and discussions, everyone is trying to catch the next great bubble. Once the BTC pump settles, everyone will go back to what they were doing. The real value of a coin is labeled in XXX/BTC. If your coin loses 50% of XXX you effectively lost 50% of your market cap compared to the BTC value. I sold my 20k VTC around 0.024 last pump as I didn't believe VTC would be able to keep the money influx from getting in and now even tho as you people say VTC is still 1$~ I can buy TWICE as many VTC with what I sold because VTC valuation compared to BTC dropped in half. I don't ask for VTC to be worth .01 overnight but with the POW being this "early" still with the block rewards, we ARE going to see VTC at .001. There is just no way around this. VTC is still the top dog when we talk about mining and miner WILL dump it. They have no choice but to dump it ( most of them). They HAVE to ROI as it is still profitable to M&D... See the LTC graph, it goes by wave all the time, every time and then steady decline. You are MUCH better to dump now and panic buy 3 weeks from now than to keep and hold. You will have twice as many VTC with that strategy.

I hope you're wrong, I've been selling BTC to buy VTC. I really like VTC, best community here, and still a relatively small market cap. How is darkcoin worth $60 million, and VTC only worth $4.2 million. VTC is clearly a superior coin, and once the stealth feature comes out, I think we'll see a lot of money moving into VTC. My favorite "feature" of VTC, is the success of it's P2Pool. A strong P2Pool makes it the most secure coin, arguably more so than Bitcoin.
Dev's, please listen, if you decide to change the algo, PLEASE make sure to have the P2Pool modifications ready first. So many altcoins have pools with over 51%, that would mean death.

I actually see myself having to keep on revisiting VTC and being pursuaded to buy more VTC. In my opinion, VTC has one of the best teams in crypto.

Rising 20 to 100 times to make headline catching all by surprise. 20,000VTC will worth USD$2,000,000. This will easily make AMD and Nvdia next gen GPU out of stocks again.

The biggest problem that I see with all Scrypt-N coins is the psychological factor of seeing half your normal hashrate. X11 and X13 coins are clearly winning over GPU miners and it's easy to see why - less power usage and less heat (great for summer).
It's all well and good to say Scrypt-N would save GPU miners from ASICs, but Scrypt-N isn't the only game in town anymore.

best GPU is that one, which is able to convert as much power into crypto as possible situation is unstable now due to scrypt ASIC rollout and X11 hype, but: if you have the same card able to convert: a) 1$ of power cost per day into 2$ crypto value in x11 or b) 2$ of power cost per day into 4$ crypto value in n-scrypt The long term winner should be option b)... ...and there is X11 fpga (and ASIC then) real risk also... ...and Nvidia 750Ti solves power usage and heat problem completely (while AMD is nowadays just A Mining Dinosaur )

You do realise the last time VTC dropped this low(under .0013) it then shot back up past .0038 pretty rapidly right? Chickens, cowards and weak hands should just not invest in digital currency.

vtcpool.co.uk is closing downPlease move your miners away, and withdraw your coinsDue to the huge success of p2pool, the issues encountered during a recent migration of the pool, and in order to spend more time on other projects that benefit VTC, I've taken the decision to close vtcpool.co.uk In accordance with the earlier posts about the closure, the stratums have now been taken offline. Those of you who mined up until today should ensure your auto-payout settings will withdraw your coins, or make a manual payout request. The website will be taken offline in 24 hours.
