Jared,
Thanks for the update. I am still a bit nervous to do an update. I will make sure this fix corrects the problem and then take a shot at updating to the Windows 32 wallet.

Kind Regards,
YC

So after more research we have discovered a possible issue with the Bitcoin Core 0.9.1 code we implemented. This block delay issue does not appear to be related to DigiShield but how the 0.9.1 code was implemented.

The issue did not show up until several mining pools had updated. It appears a new multi-pool more recently updated to 2.9.1 and since they have most of the hash we are getting these delayed block times.

We are going to test out a few more things and compare code bases to make sure. The good news is if this is the issue we will not have to do a hard-fork to get the blockchain back on track. We will work on rolling out an update ASAP.

I wasn't aware that wikipedia writes the algorithms for your blackjack.. Or are you playing coy trying to say that your balckjack is comparable to a casino with a regulated amount of cards whereby you can count cards and beat the house, and that you don't have it coded to only allow a small fraction of hands to be won based on "random" cards to be drawn.
Sorry, but a stack of cards has a set outcome. The cards in your "house" are set by the algorithms, not the shuffle.

Are you implying that DigiByte miners are schmucks to be taken advantage of?

How about you post the algorithm. Transparency on your "fair play" or GTFO..

[edit] And this turned into a crapshow only because one of you decided to defend this fail attempt at marketing.
Imagine you're walking down the sidewalk with a friend while having a conversation and all of a sudden some clown in a blackjack costume got in your face about "BEST DEALS IN THE WORLD ON BALCKJACK!!"
I dropped a simple jokingly comment on your "fair play" and you guys decided to defend it.
Your marketing technique is no better than an obnoxious TV commercial with the volume 25% louder than the program. Did you really need to take up 1/3 of the page to promote your crap? No..

You decided to get in people's faces. Deal with the backlash and scrutiny. Or, GTFO, as you so eloquently put it.

[edit] Futhermore, you two clownshoes are supposed to be posting HERE https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0 in the GAMING sub. A word of advice, do yourselves a favour and quit while you're only partially looking like azzhats.

Nice catch! And good to hear we can expect a fix soon. It's a very important task to get the coin back on track and focus on adoption Smiley

In your opinion what does #DigiByte need right now to become on of the top five coins in the crypto economy?

It seems there are a few paths to accomplish this.
1) Be the first to do something that accomplishes something in a technical aspect. (LTC-Scrypt, DRK-X11/anon supposedly...etc)
2) Be the first to do something with financial application.  (people can use it to pay for something they want)
3) Have a very strong community that drives the coin regardless of the above (Doge)

I dont see #3 happening for DGB without 1 or 2.  Right now DigiByte is just another scrypt coin in the eyes of many.  Yes Digishield was/is great but the time to capitalize on that has passed.  Multi-algo while good for the security of the coin does nothing to set DigiByte apart.

Right now anon/PoS/X11 coins are all the hype but after time that will die down and the next big thing will come to be.  Key is finding that next big thing and using your/DigiByte's reputation to push it.

I think the time is now and if I am a betting man, I believe Jared and team will execute. Let's not get caught in the short term hype to make a quick buck. Lot of favorable items. Even looking at the DigiMap, it looks like the team is on track.

A lot of coins are going to die this year.  The bubble will burst soon. I think the DGB devs (and community) are dedicated enough for DGB to at LEAST survive.

I only said at LEAST survive.  And any coin that survives will me in a much better position due to consolidation of the market.
