What drivers do you use (AMD)? I have been using 13.12 and I'm wondering is it possible to update to the newest version without problems with mining?

I wouldn't.  I tried and it stopped compiling the OpenCL code properly and hashrate went way down if it even worked at all and didn't give strictly HW errors.

Thanks Thirtybird, I don't have to check it on my own skin Wink

Maybe we can put this kind of information on the first page of this thread or on our main page in mining section. Also someone should update http://ultracoin.net/mining.html nitro and UTC PoolPW are down.

Sun Tzu would despise you because you revealed your grand scheme to the others.

If you want such coins I can sell you a few millions at 0.0005-0.0001BTC depending on the volume.
No less...

The price you ask for is ridiculous. But maybe you'll find guys desperate enough for that. Good luck.

@Beave162 I think we're on the same page? I just said that lowering the block reward reduces the rate of inflation. There is still inflation just less of it. The reason gold maintains its value is because the rate at which it is mined throughout history has been proportional with its demand (higher population more gold mining). Yet gold still retains its value consistently over time. Mining crypto takes an investment plus electricity, which gives coins value, and you obviously need some level of inflation when dealing with fiat. But I never said anything contrary to what you said, and you never said anything contrary to what I said.

Good article though, I don't disagree with anything in it. I think it would be very sloppy to be halving the block reward AGAIN. It is really a wild card tactic as far as long term growth goes. It may be good for the coin but it would disadvantage future miners and benefit past miners, which I don't really like. If it happened in a few years I think it would make sense, but again this is all theory so it's really a wild card to me.

15utc/block may be too many, reduce that to 5 utc/block is good.
its stupid!
what has changed since the fall of prices for the block from 50 to 15
NOTHING
low price per block=>low profit=> miners go out=>low diff=SAME coins per day!!!
low price per block NOT HELP price
ultracoin SHOULD be required, SHOULD be interesting and somewhat unique! (6 second transactions not unique)
Need a good idea to investors bought it and thus the price would have risen

Lowering block reward gives nothing at this point because it is too quick after last change.

Ace up UTC's the sleeve is Minecraft game plugin but our devs are very quiet about it and not telling any ETA. I am curious if it is even real??

NO.
at least 50->15 made output reduce from 150000 to 45000 utc  per day
15->5 will make output reduce 45000->15000 utc per day

Some news on the Minecraft plugin would be pretty cool, but it all takes time I guess, no news is good news.
In the mean time I shall keep my coins in the wallet, staking away and spend my time with my new car, not worrying if the price falls or goes higher, in this for the long haul, not day trading Smiley
