If UTC's POS payout has changed from the 20% per year, someone should update that on the main page. It might be a good place to explain the stake minting checkbox on the UTC wallet as well.

Go Team UTC!

The POS structure as with other elements of UTC are currently under discussion. Thnaks for pointing this out and I am sure that the revised team will make some announcements soon.

Cheers

KC

Message of 23th of May after IRC meeting made it clear what to expect I guess. 0,1% POS/week so 5,2% POS/year.

Hello UCM`s!  Grin

Last night we had a very productive IRC meeting and we say thank you to everybody who attended, a few things were discussed and the general consensus was that we should try to turn the yearly POS into a weekly POS and that this should be 0.1% per week.We are still talking to a dev about this.

Michael, I was away for the weekend with my family.
I just read you update for the first time. Although it is a bit unexpected for me, I mean big news like that, do I believe that you made the best step you could do. This is really a great step forward for the future of UTC. I see also that the leaders of the new team steps in UTC in a difficult period. It is stormy weather. But its in the whole crypto world. So this does shows that the leaders of the new team has balls. They step in at a difficult time and thus prove that they themselves have confidence in the future of UTC. As I see who are in the new team I can only say Go Go Go. They have my trust. I wish them 200% success what will probably leads for the community in 100% success of UTC. I support the new team and will help them where ever I can.

UPDATE #2 AS PROMISED

Dear Ultracoin Community members,

Here is a more detailed and positive announcement about the new Management/Owner team of UTC.

We have reached a full agreement and it is official now!!!

The new team has my full approval and from now on they are in full control and have total decision making authority for the bright future of Ultracoin.

The new Management/Owner team of UTC is as follows;

1; Director of Planning and Marketing – Paul (Paulr1)
    Background: Business Management College
Occupation : Business Company Owner and Investor

2; Director of Systems and Coin Development – Fabian (Fabietech)
    Background: University degree of Economics
Occupation : Business Company Director and Investor

3; Director of Treasury with audit responsibility – Ming Changi ll-Suang
Occupation : Business Company Owner and Investor

Offcourse the new Management team has more members, each with specific skills and tasks.
The new Management team/Owners will reveal their team members soon in detail to all of you.

From now on I will go slowly to the background and I will continue to serve UTC, the UTC-team and the UTC-community as Strategic Advisor and as project manager of the Minecraft plugin,so this does not mean im quitting or leaving. It simply means that its time for ultracoin to have professionals leading it into the future.

Please have a little more patience and give the new team some extra time to reveal their full team, plans and their tactics. This will take about one or two weeks from now..

I know they are very buisy with it in the background, since we are working together in transfering all accounts and services.

I believe this changes will lead to serious attention of the market and (big) buyers and investors so it will lead in time to more demand of UTC on the exchanges.
This is a huge step for Ultracointo reach the place it deserves !

I am doing this in the best interrest of the future of Ultracoin, and i believe this is the best course of action for the future of the coin.

Regards,
Michael.

1) Create a BIP38 hash from an UTC private key
2) How to decrypt that BIP38 hash into the same private key
3) How to upload that private key into your wallet

It depends on what algo and what coin you're going to mine and what graphic card you want to use but generally ATI are more effective.

I think the exception to this rule maybe x11 where the Nvidia cards tend to be comparable or slightly outperform the ATI but at a lower wattage.

However, also bear in mind that with ASIC cards now available for Scrypt you should be looking to mine either Scrypt Cha-Cha like UTC or an x11 derived coin

It depends on a couple of things like what generation/architecture you're looking at.  For example, Radeon 6XXXX cards are relatively poor miners whereas 7XXX/R9 cards are very good.  But I assume you're talking about newer cards currently available on the market.

If you're looking for shear mining horsepower for any algo, the R9 290/290X is where it's at.  BUT if you're looking for the best price/performance/power efficiency combination, the best (by a good margin) I have found is the nvidia 750ti.  They hash at around 300 kh/s on scrypt (comparable to a 7870/R9 270X) but they only use around 60-70 watts, run very cool, most don't require PCIe power connection, and the EVGA SC model with 2GB GDDR is only 150 USD.  The 750ti is based on nvidia's  new Maxwell architecture which is looking to be extremely power efficient.  Keep an eye out for future nvidia cards based on Maxwell, as I believe they will become a new favorite for GPU miners.

Thanks Michael for the update! and for you decision to hand over the full control although it must be difficult to take a step back from your baby. i am exited to read that Paul is indeed one off the investors, and that all the others are business owners to. i think it is key to the growth off any coin to treat it like a business or a new product.

Can you please put Ultracoin on the front page rather than the back page. Ultracoin will be a main player in 6 months so should feature on the front :-)
