Have you tried PM'ing Thirtybird with all your computer configuration and scrypt? He's the man for Yacminer.

Guys - we really need someone besides me tweeting about #Ultracoin. This is just sad.

Sorry, I never got into tweeting.

But I did just send an email to coingecko.com asking them if UTC could be listed on their website. I'd love to see how UTC would rank with all their statistics - compared to other coins.
Anyone else want to help. Just email hello@coingecko.com and ask them to include UTC.

Thanks,
Craig Claussen

You hit the problem dear dcgirl...

Our community is strong but also busy with "other" occupations.

About me, it is the same as Craig. I am not in to twitter. I am the so cold "old school"  hahaha

To get the community more active to "spread the good news" is in my opinion only possible if there is a marketing-leader who take up the job, make's plan's and time schedules and is getting our community together for daily or weekly marketing/news actions...

I believe if there is a marketing-leader who make plans and time schedules and get our community to follow up the plans and time schedules it can be a success and they will spam the world crazy about UTC. Don't you think so ?

I think UTC need creat Masternode (like DarkCoin)
10.000 UTC = 1 masternode( maybe 0,2% -0.5% daily POS)

UTCAccording to the annual unit to calculate equity POS is too long. Why not take weeks to calculate that we will stop the low-priced sales people less price will rise until the moon

Team UTC is currently discussing the possibility of shortening the POS time to 3 months, with a percentage of 5.

We are now discussing the implications with the dev,and we will update you with following as soon as we can - changes that will be made, schedule of those changes and what that means to you..

Yes +1
365 Days in UTC is to long, people don't want to wait 1 year when is more sellers than buyers.
Look at darkcoin its not pure 100% PoS but people buy like crazy. Many buy orders, less sell orders.
Reason=Masternode.

Pure 100% PoS is trend for now, but nothing is forever, and 100% pure PoS coins have more risk to 51% attack. Look at the price PoS coins, one month good price then down and down( mint, BC, Cinni etc.)
Where is the sense in all this PoS , when the price drops?

Long 365 days PoS in UTC is non attractive , maybe 1 year ago, not now.
In UTC now is more sellers than buyers. We must more attract PoS in UTC, like Masternode or something similar.
More % in stake interest and short time=more HOLDERS and buyers, less sellers.

We have all. Real asic resistant coin, ultrafast, hybrid PoW and PoS are more secure, great devs like dcgirl and community.
Marketing is now more better mrcashking doing well and Ultracoin Sponsoring Elsa Hammond is something really huge (i hope some logo will be on boat)
I really don't understand why UTC price is not like VTC, what VTC have better?

Before i suggested new logo UTC but devs don't accepted new look i respect that i'm not dev, but why dark coin logo changes many times? Now new logo drk look really pro.. Because new look is very important, even such small things are important and indicate that we want to improve the currency in every aspect of not only the most important issues.
Maybe someone can do small things like professional intros UTC thats not hard, like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks1K4zWSm4E
Very impressive and would add to this type of video if developers were to conferences to present their best side.
Packaging is also important.

Hey Bumface,

If you want the interest to be shortened to quarterly and the compounded interest to equal a 20% APY, you should instead change the interest to about 4.66351% per three months to get roughly a 20% interest per year.

Thanks so much for the link, DCgirl!
I just started using my extra profit from my plumbing business to invest into cryptocurrencies. My current business bank account doesn't reward me crap for having USD in it - so screw them. It's not their money anyways.
I think my tax accountant will crap a brick when she sees that some of this years business profit have gone into cryptocurrencies. Thanks to your link, I can just tell her to take a chill pill and relax!!

I've got it bookmarked now. And will research it more when I get some time!

Cheers!!

Hey Bumface,

If you want the interest to be shortened to quarterly and the compounded interest to equal a 20% APY, you should instead change the interest to about 4.66351% per three months to get roughly a 20% interest per year.

It's good to hear that some of you guys are interested in this as well now. I had previous thoughts earlier on thread page 678.

Quote:
Agreed. I'm sure it's a pain to modify the coin, so just have some way to tweak out the proof of stake system with multiple options to choose from. Let's say the coin's official website could have a tab for investing coins (whether from mining or outright purchased) in an official proof of stake Ultracoin address. And you could have multiple levels of interest earned obviously at multiple levels of risk. So in a sense you have created a company stock or bond.
So let's say I have 25k coins; I want to keep 5k in my wallet for "ultrafast" business transactions and daytrading, I put 15k of coin in my own personal wallet proof of stake system , and then I put 5k in an official website address proof of stake stock or bond that guarantee's a return from day one proportional to how long you let it mature in the address. You wouldn't exactly have to wait 1 year to see payout from the stake. All the while your organization is taking a slice of the pie to help fund development of the coin. People can get in and out when ever they want to, but if they get out early they lose maximum benefit. So let's say you have a stock or proof of stake "bond" address that pays out 3% - 5% in a 3 month time frame. Or one that's 7% - 10% after 6 month time frame. Or one that's 12% to 15% for a 9 month time frame. If one keeps a stake in a 3 month that matures and they don't move it, they have a choice of letting it reset at that new interest paid amount in the same stake bond time frame or it can be moved over to a higher time frame (6 months) at a higher interest rate reward as compared to someone who's just entered in fresh.

Possible step towards diversifying the coin even more where (not that I'm worried about UTC) the fear of a 51% attack would become that much harder to infiltrate the system.
If you are worried about someone buying up too much at once, have a set limit amount of purchase power based off something like: how long you have owned a wallet, or investing limits on how much personal wallet proof of stake do you have, etc... if any of this would even matter.
And of course it would require some rules as some people would think that they have a right to say what's what for the coins future. But that can be a good thing as well.

I could go on and on...
Any thoughts?

/Quote

Again, glad to hear that some of you guys agree on a similar concept. And thanks, Bumface, I didn't know that you and your Dev team were contemplating implementing some sort of similar construct.
Looks like it's worth a shot. Granted, you guys already have a never ending schedule ahead of you!

Thanks for all that you do!

And everybody, don't forget to write coingecko.com and ask that UTC be implemented into their system. They don't even have a scrypt chacha coin to analyze. I think if we get on coingecko.com soon - with their statistic capabilities - we will be able to help GPU miners and investors migrate out of the soon to be basic scrypt ASIC pump and dump goldrush that's about to hit. Let them know we need to be on board!

Cheers to all you UTC fans!!!

Respectfully,
Craig Claussen
