why does everyone keep trying to withdraw coins?

YOU CANNOT WITHDRAW COINS AT THE MOMENT UNTIL THE SERVICE (APPARENTLY) RESUMES ON 20TH JAN. read the info on the site, or this thread!!

you can withdraw fiat (USD) and some people have apparently done this successfully recently. anyone trying to withdraw coins, yes they will disappear from your ledger but should re-appear, that it what happened to me after a few hours.

I for example dont have twiter and I never been on c cex bitcointalk thread untill now and I loged in to my c cex account to withadraw and no messages showing up that I should not withdraw no messages about vacation nothing everything normal and I did withdraw my coins and I reacived conf mail and click on it and when page opend up only then I saw message that they have vacation and stuff only then message was there.. so how could I knew anything about it... and now my balance is gone and no coind on the other end and what now... they should have sent emails regarding their vacation and tell people in that way that they should not withraw their coins or at least remove the withdraw button...

Exactly. This is either a hobby that got out of hand, a really badly run crypto-website, or just an outright scam.

Too bad to see a big company like this going for holidays

I hope you don’t believe that C-CEX is a big company... I personally think that it is one or two guys who are on their way to Mt. Gox’ing their users. Especially the way that they are behaving at the moment. Why aren’t withdrawals and deposits being honored? Are these normally done manually, or require “staff” intervention to process them? A month is a very long time to have your assets held hostage.

I thought I had cleared all assets from this exchange, but it still seems I have a few altcoins in there. Yeah yeah stupid me, but let’s see if I’m able to get them out when the staff returns, or if they’ll be delisted and stolen like they’ve done with many coins in the past...

Just got a withdrawal via wire transfer for $13k USD that I started on 12/12. They're definitely falling behind due to high volume but they're trying their best to meet our requests.

Dear C-CEX

It totally unprofessional to hold XVG coins of users and not allowing them  to withdraw nor do a exchange.

Why do you run business in the first hand?  if your priority is taking holidays then your customers support

your support team your ticketing system everything is been in suspended mode

I'm just going to leave this here, as it's buried 13 pages back on the forums... And since people don't like to read the news on the website. Maybe if I put this in bold, people will see it:

C-CEX IS ON HOLIDAYS AND WILL BE IN LIMITED MODE UNTIL APPROX. JAN 20

C-CEX holidays vacations!

From December, 20 till approximately January 20 we will switch to "limited service" mode for New Year vacations.

We will: provide trading service, API trading service, C-CEX codes creation and redeeming, fiat deposits and withdrawals.
We will not: provide all cryptocoin and tokens deposits and withdrawals, support ticket service.

If you need your cryptocurrency to trade here or elsewhere during "limited service" period - please, deposit or withdraw it before December, 20. Please, do not send any deposits during "limited service" period as they will not be posted to balances.

We will resume normal service after January, 20. We may resume normal service earlier.

Happy upcoming holidays!!!

I'll just leave this here, as it doesn't seem to come to mind:

Quote
Rather weird to wonder why people are reacting like this if they actually type why but you just don't want to or can't read.

This is a 24/7 industry. Not kindergarten.
They "announce" (well they actually don't) 1 month "limited" service. The announcement in itself is a joke and is certainly knowingly improperly done. Perhaps not to alarm people that something seriously wrong is going on here (probably they "announce" in a month that they had a hack when they were on vacation).
1 month vacation is for every company (even a non-serious one) a ridiculous amount of time(except in north korea perhaps) and if you're a kid of course.

Also the "limited" service is actually not limited. It's non-existent service. The inability to withdraw your crypto for a month doesn't ring an alarm bell with you? At least it does with a lot of other sensible people.
When you want to withdraw to fiat you have to pay 10% fee? Is that a low fee?

Does this read like something reasonable for people to be annoyed/alarmed by?

So just delete these messages from all pages. They have no meaning, no support AND operations for a month on a legit crypto exchange is beyond belief.

People being able to deposit but not being able to withdraw crypto is a scam. Copying a message that says the scam won't let you get your money for a month still means it's a scam, or even tells more so it's a scam.

So haven't checked my account in a while. Says disabled now.  Is this the same as everyone else? What does limited mean and the errors it throws while trying to login?

Not that I'm not assuming the worst here just wondering if everyone else is getting the disabled account message.

For now we cant do nothing but lets wait until 20th January. If it will change into scam lets think do we have any informations about administrators and owners of ccex exchange? Do we really know anything about them? Where are they located and who are they? People are keeping millions dollars there. Some of them will not allow them to run with those money. People who are big investors have more than enough money to locate owners of exchange who stole money so we shouldnt worry right now just to collect as many info as we can.
