Dash to Significantly Overhaul Security With ChainLocks, Solves 51% Mining Attacks

Dash has announced the future implementation of ChainLocks, an approach to solving a variety of network disruptions, including 51% attacks.

In a recent blog post, Dash developer Codablock explains a new approach to security in an upcoming release. The new Dash Improvement Proposal (DIP) 8, dubbed ChainLocks, will leverage long-living masternode quorums (LLMQs) to sign blocks as they are seen by the network, protecting against attacks and attempts to reverse transactions:

This is a significant improvement on the DASH Network that should give peace of mind to all stakeholders who worries about network attacks. The platform is getting robust as ever. Imho.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

A couple years ago when I used Poloniex as my main platform, I used to see a lot of ads came from Dash on especially on Youtube. And because of that price surged dramatically and It got an attention from the community because of that Ads, but why I never see it right now even once a week or a month?
It was like, there is nobody put their attention into this project or everybody is out of the ship even on social media such as Twitter nobody is talking about Dash anymore. What is going on?

Dash Thailand Grows Dash Adoption With Focus on Merchant Needs

Dash Thailand has set up 19 merchants and 84 user wallets during their two months of operations by focusing on creating a fun environment that focuses on the needs of consumers and merchants.

Dash Thailand discussed how their overall strategy focuses on creating a diverse ecosystem and a plethora of events to attract new individuals to Dash and retain current Dash users.

“Our overall strategy of executing a diversity of events in collaboration with our merchant partners aims to increase access to a wide range of targeted customer segments and potential future merchants. All events provide the opportunity to create marketing value, increase Dash transactions and support merchants in the real life implementation of Dash as payment alternative.”

While going to different merchants to gain adoption, they have discovered that focusing on added value to the merchants has the highest chance of conversion since business owners want to improve their revenue.

Dash.red Announces New Game, Increases Dash Awareness

Dash.red has announced its first multi-day YouTube game: “Los 12 Días de Navidad”, which start on December 1, 2018 and allow players to have a chance to win some Dash while having fun and learning about Dash.

“This new game will work like a 3 in 17 lottery with a fantastic twist! Each guess that a player makes will be eligible for all future draws. There will be 12 open chances for a player to pick combinations. There will also be 6 secret opportunities to pick combinations. Thus, by the time a player reaches the twelfth draw for winning numbers, he can have as many as 18 combinations of his own to match the winning combination.”

This is one of the coins that is less likely to be forked unlike BCH, DASH has a cohesive community and its features are  all exceptional so I guess no want wants more than that.

Someone could hep me?

I have never had problems transferring funds from my core wallet to an exchanger, but today I have more than an hour, and my wallet shows unconfirmed status.

Later I made another transfer of funds to the same address and it worked correctly in little time.

2f453dff069a491e61a026c6d25d4c01fdca099b59d3b770d167e10a7d5825cb

is This  normal, it happens frequently.?

I used the instand send protocol, and my wallet version is (Dash Core version v0.12.3.3 (64-bit))

Thank you.

If this transaction (2f453dff069a491e61a026c6d25d4c01fdca099b59d3b770d167e10a7d5825cb) keeps getting stuck, then make a backup of your wallet and go to the repair part of your wallet :
Tools - Wallet Repair and press "Recover Transactions 1".  You will notice this will re-broadcast your transaction to the blockchain and your transaction should get confirmed now.

This sort of thing happens on rare occassions, you could come across it more during mixing then with creating a normal transaction like this one. Maybe you had a bad connection or something
during creation of that transaction ? Let me know if this works.

Learn from the past, set detailed and vivid goals for the future and live in the only moment of time over which you have any control : now

The Impending Suicide of Bitcoin Maximalism

Bitcoin maximalism is a concept that has existed ever since the world’s first cryptocurrency was no longer alone. It essentially consists of believing that only Bitcoin will succeed, and other similar projects will fail, as well as a dedication to protecting this outcome. While commonly associated with fans of the original BTC chain, a post by a Bitcoin SV fan and self-avowed Bitcoin maximalist sums up the key tenets of the philosophy with a list of assumptions about Bitcoin:

I have followed the steps you described and the wallet has been rebooted and resynchronized, however the transaction remains "unconfirmed"

I repeat that something like this has never happened to me in hundreds of transactions, I will wait a little longer to see if it is solved.

Transaction ID: 2f453dff069a491e61a026c6d25d4c01fdca099b59d3b770d167e10a7d5825cb

Thanks for trying to help me, greetings.

Marriott Data Breach of 500M Guests, Including Credit Cards, Shows Dash Use Case

Marriott hotels experience one of the largest data breaches in history, compromising the data of 500 million guests, illustrating the need for secure and private payment methods like Dash.

The breach, which affected a statistically significant portion of the world’s population, reportedly began as early as 2014. The hack is one of the most significant in history, dwarfing the Equifax hack of last year, which exposed over 200,000 credit card numbers. According to a notice by Marriott posted on the 30th of November, the breach includes a wide variety of guest information including contact details and even passport numbers:
