I think the spies and agents are afraid of a revolt in Dash, and they buy again in order to control the governance of Dash.

But it looks promising...

Does it seem weird to anybody but me that the permabulls see any pump as complete vindication of all they are doing and supporting but dumps have nothing to do with any problems critics bring up?

This pump is nothing more so far than an opportunity for me to reduce exposure a little and take some profits. Time will tell if it means more, but by all means, keep buying. Daddy's got bills to pay.
