Dash’s Meritocracy: How Achievers Move Up in the Dash Ecosystem

Dash has long operated on a meritocracy-based system, where the best and brightest prove themselves and are eventually rewarded in a long-term and sustainable way. This stands in contrast with many other crypto projects that either expect volunteers to work their hearts out for no eventual reward, or those that raise ridiculous amounts of money in a crowdsale and award it to those who have proven no merit. As someone who worked his way up in the Dash rankings, starting from a simple energetic volunteer to working into a full-time career, I’m still impressed with how this system lets anyone get to the top provided they know how to work hard and innovate.

Feature-Rich Platforms Increases Cryptocurrency Usability

Spot is a new multi-cryptocurrency tracking application, which includes Dash, that is trying to make cryptocurrency use and management easier.

The application allows users to add their public cryptocurrency addresses so amounts can be tracked within the app to make cryptocurrency portfolio management easier. It can also connect to exchanges, such as Binance, Bitfinex, Kraken, and Poloniex to inform users when arbitrage opportunities are available, which will have a side effect of mitigating premiums on different exchanges.

On Dec. 7, PR and media director at DashNews Mark Mason posted a tweet stating that KFC Venezuela would start accepting Dash payments the following week.

Later KFC Venezuela denied the news, stating that processing payments with Dash “is not a fact, nor has the publication of any news about it been authorized.”

Shortly after, Dash Merchant Venezuela posted a public apology on its Twitter account. It said that the statement was premature and reflected optimism rather than the current stage of discussions with KFC Venezuela.
However, both Dash and KFC confirmed that they are in negotiations regarding the possibility of crypto payments.
