So true Strix!

Don't read if you're interested in our book!:

Funny, in my husband's book, there is a bad boy, and I said I really like the boy, he is very likeable, very easy for the main character to sympathize with, so I asked, is he going to turn out to be good in the end? My husband said no, he is sociopathic with no conscience.  Maybe I shouldn't show that, but it's interesting.  It's a natural tendency for us to want people who can be so nice, interesting, and have a sad background, to want them to change and become good, give them second chances, etc... until they ruin your life (if you're too close).  The truth is there are people like that in this world.  Not evil, but broken.  And most of them play within the rules of society because they don't want to be locked up in jail (though most have visited jail at least once).  I just find it interesting, that my husband will not make him turn good, even so I'm sure the audience will want him to.  I want him to, but it's a tough lessen in life all must learn.  Some people are destructive and have no conscience or empathy, but only parrot what they "should" say.
Well I definitely want to read the book Grin but I think my memory is deficient enough that I will enjoy it in spite of your spoiler. Kiss

I think all of us who are honest recognize that we have something of the sociopath living in us. Yes, we may feel remorse, but what good does it do us if it only kicks in after our crimes? Rarely does our selfishness let itself be recognized in time prevent its harm from being done. We are all in need of redemption, but do we really want to forgive our enemies to get it? I think your husband is wise--we want the bad guys to turn, as long as we see ourselves in them--yet we might yet decide to turn if we see others go over the edge before us. But then, some of us would just like to push...

Whoops, sorry wrong thread. Looks like we are getting real close to enforcement! Grin Grin Grin

Yep that was you aha

I remember can’t let them see you speak of any other coin, damn you was brave! A true altcoin warrior  Cheesy

Lucky was only a slapped wrist!

Is this the exchange you're talking about ? If so it turned out to be worth the mission !

P.S. I felt quite justified in doing that bit of fly-promotion because this project has had an absolute ton of work gone into it over the last 6 months and was due a big revaluation. It wasn't just idle spamming.

Im trying to get darkcoind to run on a PI 2 which seems to be going work. Only im compiling over n over and it takes pretty long on the Pi, even with 3 cores.

Can i just MAKE the one file i need?: Darkcoind?

And how?

check if this helps:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7815400/how-do-i-make-makefile-to-recompile-only-changed-files

or an alternative method is to try to cross compile it
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19162072/installing-raspberry-pi-cross-compiler/19269715#19269715

edit: you can pull this docker image ready for raspberry pi cross compilation
https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/philipz/raspberry-pi-crosscompile/

cross compile darkcoin for rasperberry pi:

install docker in your computer
https://www.docker.com

docker pull philipz/raspberry-pi-crosscompile
docker run -ti philipz/raspberry-pi-crosscompile
cd /home
git clone https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin
sudo apt-get install dh-autoreconf
sudo apt-get install libdb++-dev
sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev
sudo apt-get install pkg-config

./autogen.sh
./configure --with-incompatible-bdb
make

cd src
scp darkcoind darkcoin-cli user@rasperberry_ip:/your_directory/

I do not own a rasperberry pi (yet) so I just compiled. Further tests needed
Next step is to create a docker image to make the above permanent.
On a new release you would only have to git pull and run commands from ./autogen.sh forward
Compilation is way faster then compiling in rasperberry pi

I just ordered one a few days ago, but they're out of stock.  I might have to wait into March to receive it Sad .  I'll undoubtedly have to try everything out on it, but ultimately, it'll be a lightweight Netflix streamer for me to watch at night in bed, LOL.  I won't be able to part with it so easily to let it work for mining nor masternodes, LOL

Haha great post. How sad do you have to be to troll other coins with this much energy. I actually didn't think SDC was bad at all, they seemed to have a reasonable product from what I saw but now I will always associate them with this retarded child.

Yup Evan,

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

...Creeping wall

Otoh, the way I see it, you rode the first wave to the max with bitcoin, and are good at recognizing cycles, particularly with the starts and potential burnouts at the end. And this is the second wave, and you have jumped from the crest of the first straight onto the rising wave of the second. Thanks for your updates btw, it makes for great entertainment and learning Grin

Glad that you're enjoying, looks like the walls would have been best left where they were at 0.012 after all and then I'd have picked up a few on the retrace, I thought perhaps I'd land some cheaper but there seems to be little desire to sell there or under after all, I'll leave the walls where they are now anyway for at least twelve to fourteen hours and decide if and where to move them after that, when I do move them it will be with a market buy first I expect.

Just hit 85.6% of network on 0.11.1.23. Does anyone know if the new code throws the switch, or do we still wait for Evan?

Isn't that just masternodes?  What about miners?  As I understand it we need 80% or so of the hashrate on .23 as well.

I sent myself 1100 trading DRK to try some Darksend mixing for fun. Amount set to 1100 - 16 rounds. I started at 1PM and now 11 hours later at 5 to midnight, it's at 35% with all inputs having an average of 8+ Rounds. If I set to 8 rounds in the settings I have about 500 DRK available to Darksend. So a bit over $1400 to spend on blackjack and hookers as I please. Nice.

Yeah. With this release Darksend is really fast and consistent. It took serveral months, but for the first time I feel that it is now easy enough for the "general public" to use. I know that IX is all the rage right now, but it is completely OK to brag about how awesome Darksend has become as well.  Smiley
