I sent myself 1100 trading DRK to try some Darksend mixing for fun. Amount set to 1100 - 16 rounds. I started at 1PM and now 11 hours later at 5 to midnight, it's at 35% with all inputs having an average of 8+ Rounds. If I set to 8 rounds in the settings I have about 500 DRK available to Darksend. So a bit over $1400 to spend on blackjack and hookers as I please. Nice.
Yeah. With this release Darksend is really fast and consistent. It took serveral months, but for the first time I feel that it is now easy enough for the "general public" to use. I know that IX is all the rage right now, but it is completely OK to brag about how awesome Darksend has become as well.  Yeah, I can't wait for masternode blinding as Evan described it. |

Let the cup form. Then we shall drink from it. Side note: circa 1995 I had volunteered in Japan for a stretch and was leaving from the new Kansai airport, little floating isle that it was. Several friends, numbering ten had come to see me off to the USA. I left through the gate and went down through security check and noticed them standing at a glass partition a floor above. I set my luggage aside and performed a customary bow, and the touching part is when I returned to full standing, they were in unison, bowing back to me. I miss Nihon. Good people. Go dark. Kaze |

I wish there was a subreddit just for talking about the price like http://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/. It would be a nice place to pick up new investors during massive price rises like the one we just had. A lot of people on reddit would of jumped on board had they seen charts. I've just created one: DRKMarketTrendsAnyone have ideas on how to jazz it up? I'm all ears. |

How long is Kraken able to igonore DRK ?
After being away from the crypto markets a few months i can see there are not much coins left over with a real value. DRK was holding very well and was going sideways while others are all on the steady decline.
For sure it all depends on BTC and the mainstream adoption, but DRK has proved its the only one in ALT scene
that is worth to stay in instead of giving up. All the last rising stars like stellar, counterparty and NXT are going down and down. The old DRK competitors are done and seems to be lost in nowhere.
With instantx, anon feature, masternode owners, the roadmap in front of us and a big devteam its only logical DRK will become #2 behind BTC. Crypto world is only a short term related game but if you are able to step back a bit and try to see a bigger picture its absolutly clear.
Maybe otoh was able to see this bigger picture before others do and with his BTC in the background
ha was able to take advantage of all the things lying clearly in front of us all.
Its hard work to keep your invest into cryptpworld with the bad bad BTC year 2014. DRK was the best place to be and it will be in 2015 also.
I am sure that i will have no chance to get back my invest if did't switch over to DRK in 2014.

Otoh, the way I see it, you rode the first wave to the max with bitcoin, and are good at recognizing cycles, particularly with the starts and potential burnouts at the end. And this is the second wave, and you have jumped from the crest of the first straight onto the rising wave of the second. Thanks for your updates btw, it makes for great entertainment and learning  Glad that you're enjoying, looks like the walls would have been best left where they were at 0.012 after all and then I'd have picked up a few on the retrace, I thought perhaps I'd land some cheaper but there seems to be little desire to sell there or under after all, I'll leave the walls where they are now anyway for at least twelve to fourteen hours and decide if and where to move them after that, when I do move them it will be with a market buy first I expect. A miner provides the network with an additional service that is storing transactions into the blockchain. A masternode provides the network with additional services that are (currently - more is to come) anonymization of coins and instant transactions. Miners and masternodes are rewarded for their services, and both need to prove somehow that they are legit - miners do it by proof of work, and masternodes do it by proof of service and proof of 1000 DRK ownership. |

Yes, that helps the network. Especially if you're running the latest version. But as a safety measure, keep the wallet locked if you're away from your computer. |
