Optional Donations of Masternode Income
Udjin and I just wrote an extension that allows the masternode network operators to voluntarily sponsor initiatives. This is a super powerful feature, you can specify that a percentage of your earnings will be redirected to any other address. I imagine people will lobby for an initiative, then they will post an address in the forums, if masternode operators supports it, they could donate 30% of their income (or any other amount). Examples include: - Sponsoring an advertising campaign - Sponsoring development - Donating to the Darkcoin Foundation's address Another benefit of utilizing the protocol for something like this is, when used a percentage of payments will bypass you, creating no taxation (you never controlled the money at all). https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin/commit/70164b2d4c507669aea0043ccde19226f49aaabd* This is 100% voluntary, we'll never require donations. This line here is just for testing and has already been removed: https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin/commit/70164b2d4c507669aea0043ccde19226f49aaabd#diff-345a95f756731b98ecccf4a05e6bd4e2R113

Lots going on. Keep up the good work.

I remember this being specificly requested by several community members in the past. It is also great to see development continue on despite all the "excitement" this past week. Bravo.

I think crowning means 'donating' 100% of your MN payments to an address in your day to day wallet, so you can leave the MN wallet cold?

The new name aims competing directly with Bitcoin? Maybe "dark" scares people and you want another, more "commercial" name?

I wonder if it will possible to "donate" one masternode payment to multiple addresses, say if you wanted to redirect one portion of the payment to your own day-to-day wallet and send another portion as a regular donation.

I would like to campaign for beer and babes party in Evan's home State so he (and his better half) can come along and get lashed. Enough funds for a lottery so that 50 MN operators can drink beer for a whole weekend and pour some over each other and the odd girl or two for a wet t-shirt competition. All this to be steamed live on youtube. Lets make it an annual event.

There is this messaging that i've seen in a lot of coins, why doesn't DRK have it? It seems trivial , but it is a function i'd be willing to donate to see implemented.

Email / PGP development, in preference to a MN beer weekend meetup, with girls in beer wet t-shirts not email, secure messaging. As DRK support and adoption grows, people want communication. considering the bove development, and if they add simple stuff like messaging, and all the other cool stuff they are working on. we can expect a price hike a big one. Then we can afford strippers and whiskey.

Plus, then you can pay your strippers & whiskey in drk without having to lug a laptop around :-)
