DASH you are hereby invited to participate in a anonymity #PepsiChallenge
Not that market cap means much, but just for the record... DASH does have a larger market cap than BBR. Nobody can dispute that. But can your anonymity compete? If you think it can, don't run away from the challenge.

Nothing but wasted time IMHO. I whould prefer to compete with Bitcoin or Bytecoin (most appreciated Cryptonote coin). Because it makes the sence.

If you think it can, don't run away from the challenge. I still don't understand how you can compete on anonymity. Either a transaction is anonymous or it isn't. If you'd like, I'd be happy to create an 8-round Darksend transaction this weekend and you can work on breaking the anonymity by revealing the original address it was sent from. Maybe one day, if your coin gets more attention and becomes a serious contender, somebody will take the time to test your anonymity and try to break it. But there isn't such a thing as "more anonymous." Either it's anonymous or it isn't. You are welcome to try and break Darksend's anonymity--we welcome it. In fact, there will probably be a fund set up in the future to reward anyone who can successfully break our anonymity. Anyway, while anonymity is still an important core feature of Dash, we've moved *way* past that now. We have InstantX to allow instantaneous transactions (fully confirmed within four seconds) and the ability to use InstantX-type "locks" to blow Bitcoin out of the water when it comes to scalability. We've already reached several hundred transactions per second in testing. Blockchain pruning is also on the table for future development. Our two-tiered system of miners and masternodes allows extraordinary flexibility and the development of incredible new features.

Our two-tiered system of miners and masternodes allows extraordinary flexibility and the development of incredible new features. The real trick is to create a system that can do both private and public transactions depending on what the user wants. The need for privacy is more about fungibility in the long term then having 100% privacy in the ledger.

I know it's all rationalized as needed to protect citizens, and many people I know are OK with the NSA and their ilk spying on all of us, but I do think it's a very bad precedence that will grow more and more harmful to civil freedom and liberty. http://www.thelocal.de/20150827/spies-traded-germans-data-for-us-software Now it's also happening to Germany. Sad. I was hoping they would be more self aware and wiser.

well restart doesn't help, looks like i have to wait ~10min to go past that phase, strange It is a known issue, it wont affect any of the normal operations of the wallet. What you can do is wait or close the wallet, delete peers.dat and run it again. It is being worked on, Check it out here: https://github.com/dashpay/dash/issues/578I think it may have been solved today already on v12.1 from reading the github comments.
