I think that Gemini thing is a pretty huge deal actually.
I know everybody's waiting on the ETF, but the fact is that up till now all of the exchanges have basically been nothing more than home hobby software projects slapped together and fired up into life to cope with the early adopters.
This thing actually marries fiat to crypto in a pretty public, formal, fully regulated way. It's what all of crypto needs - a front door on the mainstream finance world. Even Punk Bands had to engage with their fans through record shops.
BitcoinWednesday opens on Wednesday. The front door of crypto opens on Thursday.
Timing couldn't be better if you ask me.

What do they offer that Circle doesn't? Circle now has a BitLicense? They don't have celebrity boys that are very good at marketing and have a very public face. Though that sounds cynical, I'm actually agreeing with Toknormal. This is very good for Crypto, all of Crypto. No doubt about it!

What do they offer that Circle doesn't? Circle now has a BitLicense? They have a different type of licence. They can operate across America, not just NY. Also, funds deposited with them are insured by the government. If they go down, you get your money back, depending on the maximum compensation levels (I think its like $90k.)

There is also the distinct possibility that Cryptsy has done absolutely nothing wrong at all and these are all completely false allegations.
Only a True DashHole would defend Crapsea after the shit they pulled with Paycoin and Prime Controllers. I can't wait until Coinfire reports on the multiple ongoing investigations into Dash's HYIP scam and securities fraud. I expect to see the exact same kind of "maybe these are all false allegations" denialism when that happens.

Homero Garza said the exact same thing. Verbatim. The article clear states paper work is expected to flow forward to them in 2016 anyway. What a strange, completely unexpected coincidence that DashHoles are lapping up Big Vern's pablum exactly like Paycoiners eagerly swallowed Garza's. /shocked

When are you going to prison ffs? IDK when Big Vern is going to prison for Crapsea's numerous violations. Probably sometime after Josh Garza (for Paycoin fraud), but before eduffield (for Dash scamming).

I'm pretty sure we won't need to worry about all these centralised exchanges in a years time because the quorum system and the masternode network will allow us to have our own decentralised exchange, which will be more secure and trust worthy than anything the centralised competition can offer. Want to know more about quorum technology -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quorum_(distributed_computing)The problem with decentralized exchanges is that some entity must have a bank account in order to do the Fiat > Crypto or Crypto > Fiat conversion. In the future, if we can close the loop and lessen the Crypto > Fiat trades, then a decentralized exchange might have a chance. But a decentralized entity cannot set up a bank account to convert to/from fiat. I think, just only decentralized escrow and location awareness wallet is enough. People will become decentralized mobile exchanges.
