Oh no Otoh still hasn't gotten his money out of cryptsy... this is ridiculous.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3rvl2a/cryptsy_exchange_warning_unable_to_withdrawal/

As I mentioned before I also had trouble getting BTC out (a much smaller amount). I finally ended up buying dash and moved it out in a series of small withdrawls.

All our pool funds have been frozen at Cryptsy too, all emails /  requests / tickets did not turn out to be of any help, it seems like they're just trying to gain time. We had to stop operations completely because of this unfortunately.

They did send 100 DASH & 3.4 BTC to me just now, only 900 DASH & 80 BTC to go, so it doesn't seem like they plan to steal them, just hopeless communications and support, plus dysfunctional withdrawals process.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/address.dws?Xm1CXCAaberUUK4mVYVh9SqxUuMSMxHERb.htm

https://blockchain.info/address/1otohotohMoQoxHuxLBveQiZcV3Pji3Tc

I hope Cryptsy really took notice this time and will speed-up the return of BTC they still owe you, an exchange is largely build on trust and this lack in communication and support isn't helping them any bit.

For the normal users : get in and out of exchanges as fast as possible, don't leave large sums on there and don't withdraw large sums of BTC either (specially on Cryptsy appearently).

They had plenty of warning that I would go to social media with the issue, over one month of multiple emails to support and then over one week of hearing nothing after they'd said that they would urgently sort it out and allow the withdrawals but didn't do so.

Lets hope they feel pressured now to resolve this quickly. It also explains why so much of the Dash volume switched over to Poloniex (almost 80%),
many traders must have thought to be better safe then sorry.

Of course they'd blame something... upgrades, malleability, self-imposed verifications etc etc. But what have they done with the BTCs?

They used it to pay their admins (Horus, JShock, Mullick, BigVern, et al)...  now the well is dry...

You may notice 1 week ago... someone (i'm guessing an admin) dumped 150,000 craptsy points for btc...  who has 150,000 craptsy points besides admin?
If you look at this page:
https://www.cryptsy.com/coinsponsors
You will see that both craptsy points, and "USDe" have been sponsored with 1BTC, yet no deposits show in their official sponsored addresses (logical conclusion is that craptsy sponsored themselves without paying, attempting to dump at a higher price):
https://blockchain.info/address/1MAjC9HrGGBhvkHUYqZBeTmnEw3TQfSa1k
https://blockchain.info/address/19u1vhPFSCGNZe6UDTSUaNFUijQu2Ro7sn

Craptsy is running out of money... why do you think they added the "sponsored coin" program... and pay-to-ban in chat... and new withdraw fees?
Really scraping the barrel to squeeze its customers dry...

Warning: GOXtsy incoming!

I read on r/bitcoin about your trouble with cryptsy. Absolutely disgusting! I really hope it works out for you.

Since we are on the topic of Craptsy...

Doesn't their BTC raffle violate multiple federal and state gambling laws?

You can't hold a raffle for USD/BTC without gov approval/regulation!

Cryptsy should have thousands of BTCs and BTCs-worth of altcoins there. They probably have millions or even tens of millions in funds. Surely they can't have used it for staff payment (?).

Check this for delusion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=8zKuoqZLyKg#t=1518

In the current economy, your savings are NOT lent out. They are used as a capital base on which to lever new debt based currency. That new currency is not underwritten by your savings, but rather by your non-existent future earnings.

Poloniex staff said bitcoinwisdom are not replying to their messages either.

Bitcoinwisdom simply have to update the ticker in their implementation of the Poloniex API and it would all be operational again.

In the meantime they recommend Tradingview or Coinigy as good alternatives.

Did you end up getting an attorney as you said?

My guess is they sent you those funds to keep you at bay for a little while.
