Any news regarding the major exchange?

probably insiders know something thats why the price is rising.

The new exchange news is about 3 weeks old, so no. If "insiders" were going to buy in they already bought in months ago when the exchange was being planned.

Ok.
I didn't know it was approved back then.
Thought they are just considering raising 50k to get listed.

Outdated trolling script:

1. Mixing Tech
2. Mixing Time

1. We use denominated mixing which solves the tracking problems most BTC mixers have. They have new tech now that tracks specific amounts but is defeated by denominations.

Blockchain Analysis and Anti-Money Laundering
"Everyone should send bitcoins in rounded amounts from 0.25 to 1.0, this would destroy the entire matching algorithm, if we all just send coins in amounts of 1.0 it would be impossible to ascertain users if we avoided KYC."
https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/5cb74u/blockchain_analysis_and_antimoney_laundering/

2. People are already reporting 30 min mixing times with this new release and the network has not yet even fully updated. Not even sure if that was with the new multi session mixing on or not?

I will do a live mixing test next week after enforcment is on and the network is fully updated and stable. I'm betting it will be faster to mix and receive a confirmed/locked double spend proof instantsend transaction than a fully confirmed double spend proof monero transaction.

no matter how much you denominate coins and mix it, the conclusion that me and Riseman reached still stands.
you should mix coins in advance and better not the exact amount you are going to spend privately.
DASH blockchain can still be analyzed and it is only a matter of "analysis algorithm" to get varying meta data.

Quote
I'm betting it will be faster to mix

as i have argued up thread, it is not about the speed of mixing time but it's all about blockchain analysis, if you mix a 100 DASH today and sent it to John...a simple blockchain analysis of "who lost a 100 DASH and who recieved a 100 DASH today" can greatly narrow suspects down to a few or worse a specific individual  Wink

by the way is there any update on this?

I just read a Darkcoin whitepaper from march 2014 that talks about masternodes and Darksend/privatesend, supposedly there is another white paper before that but i don't have it. Either way, I bought my first Darkcoins in march 2014 for .55 cents because of the privacy focus not masternodes. You or anyone else could have bought cheap dash back then too, hell you could have bought around a year ago for ~$2. Sorry you missed out and are now butthurt. Stop complaining and Buy now before you have to pay $100 a year from now. Dump your monero, buy Dash, thank me later. Grin

it seems nobody here is able to provide any evidence of Evan sharing the "masternode concept" before and a month after Xcoin launch  Cool

It's whaleplay.

Dash & XMR were a co-ordinated pump, 1-hour apart.

Probably just some traders who went from ETH to XMR to Dash...

But since there are no real news backing this surge, i think it will go down again.

Especially Dash has risen that much over the past weeks although still not clear whether their anonymous features are working at all ?

I think you can probably trace a eight round privatesend transaction maybe. I just don't know how but i think maybe probably someone else can supposedly although they never have.

Dash De-anonymization Contest

Icebreaker and other trolleros: I have donated $1 to Monero's development team. I sent 0.25 Dash (TX ID: 59d51690d4b56ddbf1e393fa8d3a49bcfc3247f270f36be3b6ee411802666cba-000) to shapeshift.io, which converted it to Bitcoin and sent it to the official Monero donation address listed at https://getmonero.org/getting-started/donate/.

I challenge you to de-anonymize this transaction. To make it just a little easier, I only used four rounds of Darksend, so it's exponentially less private than it would be with the maximum eight rounds.

Please tell me what address this transaction originated from.

Cheers!

There is lots of bullish Dash news and a exciting roadmap but no real xmr monero news or roadmap to sustain y'alls pump.

I'm disappointed in you tok. You forgot "IPv6" and that "Dash focuses more on marketing than tech", please try and keep up. Wink

LoL. Well there are so many things "wrong" with Dash that I lost count. So I had to go and try it myself and then I lost count even more  Cheesy

Why is holding Dash increasingly profitable with rising Bitcoin price and why are the fortunes of Bitcoin & Dash favourably coupled ?

The answers are easy to find if we look past the trainspotter horizon:

 • Dash is designed according to the priorities of monetary asset, not a valueless payment rail

 • Monetary assets that "work" as such attract interest on lending

 • As bitcoin gains on the $Dollar and Dash holds or gains against BTC, the variable revenue from lending measured in $USD increasingly outweighs the fixed cost of participating in the lending markets (who's base rate is set natively by the Dash network)

 • Dash can do this because its nodes are uniquely capable of supporting a realtime network consensus as well as a mining one like other crypto

 • As a risk-asset, Dash's value is supported by the fact that it's a bitcoin compatible technology and therefore has a transparent chain, compliant commercial layer protocols and adoption friendly partnering strategies

 • As a privacy coin, it implements the optimal transparent anonymity approach consistent with a bearer token asset which places authenticity as a priority, as opposed to blockchain obfuscation which is consistent with valueless payment rails

Dash tsunami... (DASH/USDT)

How can it be any different when a lot of supply is locked in masternodes?
I wonder what will happen when they are trying to sell some of their stash.

Dash has still a low volume compared to others and highest inflation.

I somehow have the feeling that Dash Coins are in the hand of some masternode owners and not spreaded well over the community.
The community is much smaller than others as well.

But let's see how this turns out. Marketing seems great though.

It does not anymore after MasterMined710's reply. No matter how much you show your (intentional) lack of technical understanding, it won't convince anyone but total noobs.

None of the supply is "locked in masternodes".

Masternodes do not hold coins.

OH OH - I want to add too.....

If you look in Coin-Control - it actually says LOCKED....

And - it is true that MN's don't hold coins - but Wallets do :-D

This is only for preventing of accidentally breaking collateral value. If you delete the masternode.conf file you will have no restriction.

This is essentially an example of a distinction without a difference.

A user needs to "lockup" 1000 DASH in order to operate a masternode.

The DASH are "locked up" in a wallet because of said user wanting to "operate a masternode".

Gotta love the word splicing here.

Speaking of inflation rate (and given that some coins mined 2x dash in way less time), is someone more savvy than me aware of the inflation rate of top 10 coins on CMC? Have been wondering for a while
