Might be cache problem.

I downloaded it only about 6 hours ago onto a brand new VM instance that had been created at the same time.

As this is the first time I will have upgraded a remote masternode, how do we upgrade ? Just call:

wget http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/rc/darkcoind
chmod 755 darkcoind
darkcoind stop

then copy it to /usr/bin/ ?

i.e. repeat steps 17 and 18 with no further editing of configs needed ?

the 'want to use your Windows PC'  highly contradicts with ur statement of the 'BEST option'

Everyone knows Windows is best, what's your problem?

Windows is indeed the best - for me to compromise ur weak system.

chmod 755 darkcoind

Actually you'd better chmod 700. You don't want another user to be able to manipulate a file you execute!

No editing.
You can stop darkcoind first.

Update guide.

Fantastic ! Didn't see that. The guides are top dollar.

b.t.w. when you said you thought it might be a "caching problem", I presume you meant at the server end ? Should we wait for you to look into it before downloading another cached version 9 ?

It's ok now.

Download it.
And test it.

chmod +x darkcoind
./darkcoind --help | head -10

Oh you have two darkcoind.
When you  type darkcoind, it will execute /usr/bin/darkcoind

./darkcoind will execute darkcoind in current directory.

First stop darkcoind.

check if you have onother darkcoind.

ls -la /usr/bin/darkcoind
ls -la ~/.darkcoin/darkcoind
which darkcoind
alias | grep darkcoind

http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptCoin/comments/28e8be/security_analysis_of_cryptcoins_cryptcast_feature/

CryptCoin due for some major dumping action if this is true, that's practically a given anyway since Fontas is involved.

Well spotted. either centralized or decentralized msg nodes will be needed.

Don't get us all started on that joke of a coin. I can't believe people are so wanting anonymity that they'll buy anything with it attached even if the tech doesn't do any of it.
Neutrino...now this....

I think people are just enjoying the various pumps all around and will come back when situation is stable. LTC is sliding twice as fast btw and it has no hard fork ahead: From 0.0173 to 0.0156.
