last chance to cash out your darkcoin and come over to monero Sorry, but I prefer a coin that isn't fundamentally flawed. So great to hear that you will be joining us then! No but serious go ahead what is this fundamental flaw. Your shitcoin barely functions with the minimal load of those who are willing to use the CLI wallet . It would have an aneurysm upon exposure to any real transaction volume. Getting any real anonymity out of it creates so much bloat that it isn't going to become anything beyond a toy for geeks.

A theory on the recent price drop. Hoping to open a discussion. I'm a DRK holder, bought in when cheap (but nowhere near MN levels) and have been mining steadily.
From a miner's point of view DRK looks like a circle-jerk between master node holders. You get the impression that DRK exists so that people can run MNs, which exist so DRK can work and pay the MNs...
Some quick math: A MN is about a $7000 investment if you bought in while low recently. Upkeep costs are negligible. It pays about 1DRK/day. You can get 100% of your investment back quickly and easily if you want out. NET RESULT: .00014 DRK/$/day.
My miner cost $2500. After upkeep costs (and I have the cheapest power in the US) I get about .1DRK/day on a good day. Less than half that on a bad one. If I got out I might get 50-70% return selling my used hardware by dealing with flakes on ebay and craigslist for a month. NET RESULT: .00004 DRK/$/day.
Mining is over 3 times less efficient. Unless that ratio starts to change, miners will drop off to the point that the coin is in danger due to low hash rate.
The impression is of the rich just getting richer and the little laborers getting sweatshop pay, and it's a huge turn off.
I'm in the process of drafting a Post..... Will post in a little while. If everybody would turn on their -QT Wallet to solo-mine, Network Hash Rate could maintain a minimal level. The - How-To-SoloMine and then some.....- will be posted shortly. (I'm sure somebody will beat-me-up for these posts, oh-well) Actually the impression is that your just crying. Look at my case, i cant afford a fancy mining rig like you have, $2500 is out of my reach. But, I can put my few darks into a masternode pool and do pretty good!--just like you can. Even your maths show it, you put in 1/3 of the investment of a MN and you're getting about 1/3 of the returns of a MN. Wipe your tears and find a masternode admin who will let you in.

ME: complaining about Blackpool not paying to MN Blackpool: We aren't aware of the situation. More information would be appreciated. ME: Please check your twitter about the darknode payment issue. It says "We have updated our wallet so should be all good." According to my data, drk is being mined by your pool and masternode payments are disabled. Any comments? Jarek Blackpool: Ticket: http://blackcoinpool.freshdesk.com/helpdesk/tickets/189By "masternode payments are disabled" are you implying that this is a feature of your wallet? Or is it something we need to manually implement ourselves? If you have any links to instructions, technical details, or announcements they would help us resolve the issue sooner. Would someone post what exactly they have to do so I won't have to search for it? Thanks!

Exactly. If you don't know how difficulty adjustments work, you probably shouldn't be mining. Maybe you could sell Scentsy or something?
P.S. All those "rich" people buying coins to build masternodes are making the coins you mine even more valuable.
Way to make a guy feel welcome there. Someone comes here and reads this and sees this fine example of the community, that's another reason why DRK is dropping. Your point about people buying DRK so they can make masternodes to make themselves more DRK is just reinforcing my MN circle-jerk theory. I know how the difficulty works, but RIGHT NOW those are the stats and I'm proposing that RIGHT NOW that is why the price is tanking. If the hash rate drops an appreciable amount so that mining is significantly easier, don't you think that will drop the value of the coin too? Oh damn, I made somebody cry. My therapist warned me about that. a) Without masternodes, those DRK you're mining would be worthless. Who do you think does the mixing that provides the anonymity layer? b) When more people set up masternodes, the ROI for MNs goes DOWN, but the value of DRK goes UP (because more coins are pulled off the market). Eventually an equilibrium will be reached. This invalidates your "rich get richer" argument because the ROI will probably trend down to 20% or so from its current level. c) Mining is vastly cheaper to get into. There are certain "barriers of entry" in the business world. Somebody who has $1 billion to spend can found a potentially very profitable company. Somebody with $5000 most likely cannot. At present, the rewards are higher because fewer people can do it, and those who can are compensated for their risk. d) You sell your mining rig right now on eBay and you'll get two thirds of your investment back. I sell my MN coins right now and I'm DOWN 60%. MN owners are subject to the whims of the market. You, on the other hand, have equipment that will always be in demand by gamers.

To user of http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.htmlI have found a bug in my code at Masternode listing(displaying only one ip) . So I have changed primary key from 'address 0' to 'address 0' + 'ip address'. changes : 1) Same key + different ip displayed(one of ip address should be old one) 2) Monitoring display changed. Active status is summed by address:ip. If your address is duplicated, your NM has another ip. http://drk.poolhash.org/poolhashrate/blocks/masterstatus.txt* If NM is displayed with multiple ip address, I think changing 'address 0' and masternodeprivkey is best practice. (move 1K DRK to new address)

I see LTC's taken another bath today.
The 4 hour chart showed a glimmer of life for 48 hours and then....wallop. All charts now back in dive bomber configuration. 1-day and 3-day have diverged again to the downside - a veritable avalanche in slow motion.
A break of 0.01 in the LTC / BTC ratio is on the horizon in the coming days or weeks and a new number 2 possibly within months.
Who's it gonna be ?

not sure what you have for a miner, but perhaps you should try my multipool. www.xpool.caCheers! I do not see a problem here. Your investment into miner is much lower and safer than investment into crypto currency. I invested remaining 500 drk into masternode a week ago and I lost about 40% of my investment whereas you did not. Hence, it makes sense to reward the risk takers. If you think the ratio is not fair and the miner is not generating enough income just get rid of the miner, simple as that. Nice point of view cheers

Well. She def. needs the D. Maybe instead of showing her V she shows her D. The D is a separate entity existing in a very small breed of crypto. It simply overwrites the V.
Well, she already has the D. So disappearing the V to show more D is not fair to the people who want to see the V. We must have BOTH the D and the V, or else something went wrong. Damn, I might have to abandon development of ShitCoin and implement CameltoeCoin (CTO) instead. It will have anonymous distributed VagSend via FannyNodes. On which ports would one be mining such coin? Front or rear? port : 6969

YES!! Together we stand strong! This should be often quoted back, so there are no excuses. Tomorrow I'll do another round of "pool sniffing". I urge everyone to chip in. No pool is too big, no pool is too small! Please, take 5 mins and send an email/twitter/IRC notice, before we actually enforce the fork, so no-one gets orphaned blocks, and no unexpecting miners suffer from it!! Lets play fair our end, do our diligence, and if non-compliers fail to comply, fork them! The VAST MAJORITY are simply unaware, and update as soon as they get the info! Disregard "good actors" and concentrate on "bad actors". This is NOT a suggested mining list. It is a "sniffing bad actors" list. Check for last found block and cross reference with chaeplin's list - http://drk.poolhash.org/poolhash.htmlIf you find a pool that is on chaeplin's list, send me a PM or post here https://darkcointalk.org/threads/just-had-an-idea-for-us-miner-collectively-help-drk-before-next-fork.1662/Update July 5th
