Andreas M. Antonopoulos announced today on his Twitter feed that he could no longer be associated with the Bitcoin Foundation because of its lack of transparency, maybe we should reach out to him, he would be awesome in the dark team. Cool

Sounds like a long shot, but if he signed on...wow! It would obviously have to be Evan who contacted him.

Good thinking,
he was the resin why i looked into Anonymous currency back in January
I saw a speech of him where he pointed out the flaws of BTC
and said he would invest in Anonymous Currency (was an old speech) !

Close your client...
Do you SEE this restraint and self-control? Do you? ;-)
Iam sorry but i dont understand
There is a folder present that shows you did not close the client.

I have a reputation for being very angry and impatient with people who have a hard time doing computer... Just letting them see it's all an act...

I closed the client after i read the post and not at the time of taking the screenshot

I've experienced the same problem.

...for both in the operating system. Windows / Linux.

Be patient and wait a little bit please. After going to be okay and start block updates.

I guess, Block update problems stems from the query frequency and DDoS protection.

We had him on the list to review the solution before open source I think.

If he was willing, Evan could spend some time with him to explain Darkcoin & the solution and hopefully bring him on-board as an ambassador.

Can someone here do me a favor can you upload the blocks and send me the link as iam unable to download the block source
Try a darkcoin.conf with a bunch of addnode=[knowngoodsource] to help.

It's a crutch, but it works. Really helps me since I force my client behind TOR. Not that it helps anon, but with buttloads of TOR traffic in and out of my IP, plenty gets lost in the mix...

Someone else might be able to give you a list of good nodes to add. Or you could just look cuz it's mentioned almost every 10 pages...

Code:
$ cat ~/.darkcoin/darkcoin.conf
addnode=23.23.186.131
$
Not much in my local darkcoin.conf - But without it, I can't get a chain from behind TOR to save my life.

As a note, you won't be restricted to that node, it's just a way to tell the client to "look THERE!" I currently have 5 active connections from behind horrible TORpipe.

To get a list of nodes if you are running the wallet behind a TOR proxy you can use
Code:
dig +short dnsseed.darkcoin.qa
or
Code:
nslookup dnsseed.darkcoin.qa

Download the latest client, 9.11.6 or 10.11.6 (with darksend)  No addnodes needed.  I tried it out.  Took about 8 seconds to connect, then 15 minutes to download the blockchain from scratch (no config file, no peers, nothing)
Iam on 9.11.6 and stuck with the problem
Winblows, CrackOS, or Linux?

Windows 8.1

Remove peers.dat

Removed but still the same

Upload your debug.log for review. Can you also post screenshots of your Darkcoin appdata folder (contents of the darkcoin folder).

Your router may not be letting the program connect?  You may have to open the port with the router rather than windows firewall.

I'm sure this MN question has been asked several times here but I can't locate it. Do I need to have a remote linux server if I'm running already running a minning rig w/ Ubuntu? I'm also running Windows 8.1 Pro on my pc. I would like to find the best DIY setup guide and take a look at  it first before I consider having someone I don't know set it up for me. Its a little nerve-racking learning something new with the value of 1000 DRK at hand.

That is what I a here for my friend. Please check my sig!!  Wink

This is a great service.

I haven't used GhostPlayer, but the concept of master node help and pools is JUST FUCKING AWESOME.

Now imagine that concept being used by Bitcoin and just about every other coin going forward.

+101

Haha!! Thanks man.

This was actually the second thing that made be stick to DRK.

1st - Brilliant whitepaper. Then found out the dev, Evan Duffield (and no anon-pseudonym) has 15+ years working in the financial field, but is 100% dedicated to his project, Darkcoin. Since I've been on testnet like a hawk, I KNOW he barely sleeps enough to get back to coding. And now he has a team, a damn good one. And the best is soon to come! This is nothing! DRK price is ridiculously low.

2nd - Best community ever in the crypto world! By a long shot !! Just doing my part the best I can.

**Another Successful Master Node Activation**

If you need help setting up your master node then may your search end with GhostPlayer as your go to expert. He was recommended to me by others on this thread (splawik21)and I would like to thank them as well for recommending his professional service. With me Located half a world away from GhostPlayer and  with < 3 hours to set up, I became a happy owner of a fully functional DRK coin MN. I don't know if its was random luck or just the norm but within 4 hours of my MN going online, I received my first 1.2 DRK of profit. I think that is pretty FrickN' cool. Anyways, If you have any questions about my MN setup experience, please feel free to ask away. You can also do a search for his name and read his signature for a full outline of his service.

Again, a great big shout out to GhostPlayer. You Da Man! Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Yet I don't see the price going north, , even though the node count is slowly approaching 700 (in addition to the updates).

Price had rebounded nicely before the dumps an hour or so ago. Still dunno why you would throw away your coins when new features are on the horizon. If things go badly again then OK I get it... but before the implementation said features is even finished?? -- sillyness IMO.

because there is 700,000 coins being locked away in masternodes and off the market, when the rush comes back, the number of coins available to fulfil that demand is less....price rises ALOT faster than last time...

Edit: And yes alot of people have ADD and will sell when they see another pump/dump train coming like stupid URO/Cloak in the hope to make a quick buck.

No. It went south instead. There's only a tiny trading volume right now and a 3503 DRK shot cashed out which pushed the price back down. Meanwhile there's not much available below 12, so only 1 person in the entire world population of 7.046 Billion is really selling  Grin    Wink
