It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Can we get an updated node list?

I am adding them to my .conf and I found some from the original thread:

addnode=23.23.186.131
addnode=50.16.206.102
addnode=50.19.116.123
addnode=98.165.130.67
addnode=54.242.50.205
addnode=50.17.98.53
addnode=54.225.43.37

However, seems like only 4 of them work now. Any sort of node list out there?

Here's what I want: the same product, with the image on the right changed to Barney Fife, looking as tough as Barney Fife can look (preferably right into the camera) with a Darkcoin coin for his badge.  Who can make it happen?

Well done !
Tx for the update

How is the dev team going to respond if some of these pools decide to never update?  I think some of them are choosing to not pay masternodes on purpose
Orphan all their blocks. Has been the plan all month...

^^ What he said.  Hunting down non-paying pools is a stop-gap measure while we await the implementation of code which will force pools to comply or render the blocks they find useless.  This is generally what people in this thread are referring to when they talk about "enforcement" (though enforcement can refer to any feature in a broader context).

These lists are not needed anymore, as darkcoin uses dnsseed since 0.9.11.6

If you still want to have a list of reliable nodes use

Code:
dig +short dnsseed.darkcoin.qa
or
Code:
nslookup dnsseed.darkcoin.qa

You will always get a "fresh" list :-)

Should there be reason of concern if I have not received any pay from my master node in the past 24-30 hours? My first 3 DRK's came to me like clock work. Day 4 coin is taking it own sweet time. I'll be more patient if I know this is typical with MN payments. TY

30 hours? I haven't seen payment on my node for a week now! This has to really be the most unfortunate node on the network - it was brought online on June 28 and only generated 1 DRK over the 15 day period:

I know about the random nature of the rewards but this seems to be REALLY low, don't you think Huh The node is online & working, just does not generate any money: only got 2 payments resulting in 1 DRK compared to the average of 13 payments and 8-9 DRK received from paying nodes Undecided

No big deal, I've had 1 successful payment and 3 failed from non complying pools.  That's 4 payments in 5 weeks and my uptime has been 100%

That dnsseed business doesn't work worth a crap behind socks5 proxy... I run a darkcoin.conf with only that first addnode entry and instaconnect...

Really doesn't make sense. That's just how it is...

MN payments are like solo-mining "payments" - You'll get paid when your voted to be paid...... just sayin

It's just that - your more likely to be paid on a MN vote then you are a Solo-Mine vote.
(Solo-mine vote would also be equal to a Pool mining Vote, but they have more hash)

(even tho I got a solo-mine vote about 24 hours ago - lol)
DIFF = 2800 and my kHash was like 28 - lol - anything is possible....

Ya never know man - ya never know......

I know Evan has not explained or (White-Paper'd) the whole process...........

It's a work in progress........and it's expanding exponential everyday.
(the trolls have been the BEST part of this whole process - LOL)
Keep it coming trolls - you have been the BEST asset to DRK yet.

Then again - maybe some of you people don't really understand how the whole system works like I do.
I see it clearly.
It makes perfect sense to me - - - even tho I cannot put it into proper wording or coding
And even though Evan has not given us the code
I can see it all very clearly.....

Thing is......................

..................For those of you that are just here to catch a ride - enjoy the ride man....
.............For those of you that can seem to wrap your head around what is happening.....keep on keep'n on...
......For those of you that dumped early and are now bitter - BUY back in - your not to late....

DRK is gonna have it's up's and down's but at the end of the day, it's gonna get really DRK.

To Evan: and the DEV team:cc\: carry on - corrie on

//:DRKc\...............etc etc

It is what it is kids.....

One thing I have noticed, USA based MasterNodes are getting a lot more payments than lets say, Singapore.  I think I'm going to move my nodes...

Exactly! I have noticed as well that USA based nodes are getting on average much more payments than those based in the Netherlands. I should have gone for US when setting up the hosting  Undecided

I'd keep your Mnode right where it is
- about the time you move
- you could have been paid

We need people WORLD-WIDE and not where they think they should be.

The States has no better chance of being paid then any other country.

KEEP ON KEEP'n on mate....

Carry it thru.....

Look at the average payments and do the maths. US nodes do get much more then the Dutch ones and the sample is big enough to support it.

Randomly click through the USA MasterNodes, a lot have received up to 15 payments by now, that's with non complying pools.

My Singapore based masternodes are lucky to receive 1 payment, and I've kept them up to date with recent software and they have been up for 5-6 weeks.

Yep - it does not look like waiting with the nodes in current  locations will result in similar long-term payments as in US..
I consider switching today. Sure the MN should be geographically dispersed but WHY staying in low-pay destination?
