You could only make those said choices because one guy invented crypto currencies from what I have read so far - and that guy was not you.
So it was a good thing you were lucky enough to invest into bitcoins the right time, but that being said, it was still pure luck.

Darkcoin suffers from a bad methodology to achieve anonymity and it's put everything into this one basket.

Sorry to hear you lost faith in the project. Also, sorry you're going to be getting out at a horrible time (right before I announce I have EVERYTHING figured out to make Darkcoin mainstream?).

Over the past couple of days, I've made huge leaps in the Darksend technology. In fact, RC4 will be the final solution to Darkcoin's anonymity. The client will automatically look at all of your funds and it will be able to tell which funds are not anonymized, if it finds non-anonymous outputs it will run them through a darksend with other clients. After that process, users can send without Darksend using the anonymous outputs for instant transactions without waiting for other nodes (with no upper limit on transaction sizes).

The other thing you're missing is that there is a reason I forked Bitcoin. Adoption for Darkcoin will be MUCH faster and easier for vendors, because all of the APIs are the same.

Expect more news in a few days. I have lots of work to do, but soon we can start testing all of this new functionality.

Guy was gonna scrap it because "the carb leaks." Idiot had a rusty tank, rust held the float open... All I did was take it apart and clean it. Never touched a carb before. It's not magic, you just believe that it is...

I don't think so, it's getting harder and harder to get a payment with the number of nodes, and the fact that some miners aren't paying MNs.  Hang in there, you'll probably get a payment within a week.  sometimes they come in groups too, it's very random.

ssh into your node and run: darkcoind masternode list | grep <your IP> - if it comes back with a ':1' you're good, sit tight.

Not likely your fault. You may have gotten voted and a non-paying pool took your coin... Or you're just really unlucky... Or both... There's two vectors of entropy on the network right now, one is predictable, the other is not and still quite prevalent.

One of my nodes hasn't been paid in 6 days. On average my nodes haven't been paid in 2.2 days.

You can check if you would've been paid if the payment wasn't voluntary at the moment:
- go to http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html
- enter your masternode address (the address containing 1000 DRK) in the "Enter address(es) to see only" text box (it's in the middle of the page)
- click the "Click to Set" link next to the text box
- scroll down to the end of the page and see the expected payment list
- if you see an entry there (or multiple entries) then you know your masternode would've gotten a payment but the miner/pool who found the block hasn't voluntarily updated to the latest version
