Hawaii or Barcelona.

Bring the wine.  Wink

It's gotta be something neutral like Czech Republic or Germany Grin

To all the people calling for marketing, what exactly are we marketing? The project isn't even open source yet. I would put that as the minimum standard to begin any serious marketing effort. Darkcoin isn't your pump vehicle. Evan and team are spending their time building something cool, they can't be expected to cater to your shortsighted demands for a pump. If you can't wait a few weeks or months for a price increase, you're free to fuck off. More cheap coins for the real Darkcoin supporters.

Count on me!

I was planning to go to Japan in July next year, but, for DRK, I can change my plans any time Wink

Eastern Europe would be great (Vilnius, perfect, IMO), but if you'd like to make it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilha_Grande or here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natal,_Rio_Grande_do_Norte I could even arrange free places to stay, depending on the number of people (maximum 20, I guess)

Well isn't this interesting! http://adamsblog.aperturelabs.com/2013/01/fun-with-masked-roms.html

By the way, has anyone heard anything about the direction that is currently being considered for the ''Darktor'' idea, I think it will change the world if it becomes a Web 3.0 - a Safenet people connect to when they want to be secure online for everyday transactions and anonymity (with its own secure minimal fee People's Exchange) and a secure real, non leveraged and sustainable investable currency.

After all, as more and more business is conducted online, data theft relating to identity theft will be a major concern.

Why do your internet shopping or browsing on the old internet where you could get compromised if you can do it safely? It also provides an obvious direction for approaching different parties to help bring this to all corners of the world. Promote the whole package new safe internet package, it began with Evan coding, led to a coin, led to the best coin, led to a dream, led us to our hearts...

As for names... Smiley  Iris sounds cool but it also in my opinion might sound a bit scary like a government program or something like this and could also be seen as a little video game sounding - Connecting through Iris  - But I play video games occasionally and very much enjoy them... Wink Freedom was fought for by all our ancestors, many sacrificed and died so that others could live and so that we could live today - I believe it is our responsibility to honour the path of Freedom, to honour those who have come before, to honour ourselves, so we may see that honour shine through the eyes of the children who will one day be, in this beautiful world, a force of loving change to make us proud.

People have been discussing the creation of a new internet for a while now, many banks and such have their own secure nets. The world need's a People's Internet, because the world is about the world and it's people. In the past and still today, wars have been fought for land and water. Let us hope the current status quo governments of today remember the cost of today's freedom, and that they are the one's that start wars, or they can use the love in their heart centres as people  (they are people too and deserve the love that is their truth) to guide the world away from the things it doesn't need. Sometimes our ancestors had to fight for their freedom, let us hope no persons on this earth ever succeed in stopping freedom to connect to the internet, freedom to educate yourself freely and according to your own path. Freedom to live prosperously and to any conduct or way of being, of thinking and creating, as long as it does not harm another's right to the same. This is not hard, it is our natural state before our mental gets governed. Smiley

A new internet designed to be safe from data theft is legitimate, designed with its own anonymous currency. The masternodes allow us to sustainably distribute it to all the people of the world. How much better could it possibly get, for everyone, for the whole world? And then we can be happy promoting it as the truth it really is, an evolution of freedom on our world, because freedom will always evolve, because we will make sure it survives, and survival requires evolution. And that seem's to often lead to beauty... Namaste my friends.

Another side thought, what if instead of making the new internet for porno, we made it for everything except pornography. I know it is contrary to what was proposed. What coins said got me thinking, but what if instead we relegated porn to the old internet only.

This way, people who want to watch pornography online can keep getting tracked like today ( they still do it right? Smiley ) this will ensure that pedophiles get caught because they will be excluded from possibly hiding. If anyone tries to put porno on the new web, it is immediately blocked and removed Smiley I would also like to mention people don't pay to watch porno anymore. All this should automatically get people's support. This should be almost an automated process friends, or at the very least semi-automated.

We are now at 17% of the late May price. Less than a fifth of the value at that time.

You can't blame this on "market manipulation", whales dumping or any other nonsense. Prices decline because there is more supply than demand - end of story. A large seller "checking out" only affects the price if there's insufficient demand.

In April price was 0.0011. How did DRK go to 0.028? Someone threw in MILLIONS of USD / thousands of BTC. The demand on his part was enormous. If he checks out, yes, there will be a gap in demand as he acquired a very large number of coins.

Well isn't this interesting!

You know I've got the hots for a Web 3.0 - provided its distinguished from Darkcoin the currency.

Keeping young people safe from the wild parts of the internet will get such global support from families and governments (someone raised a valid point on how you would keep kids off).

But, and on that note.

Again, and again, and again... we need something like this:

https://bitcoinatm.com/ (BTC, LTC, Doge, BC)

or this

https://anxbtc.com/pages/#/card

I would contact them if my English was OK  Wink

I sent an email to a couple of ATM makers.

One of them makes an ATM with open source software. They said, feel free to use their code to install on their hardware.

After reading recently that Bitcoin exchanges are black listing some legal Marijuana dispensaries, they are next on my to do list of contacts to suggest the idea of a DRK atm and through the open source code.

I'm spending a bit of time looking at the gaming sector at the moment (had to spell that one out to avoid confusion, lol).

I like SafetyNet, that's cute!  It also is SUPER user/masses friendly.

There is one huge difference in relation to investing in DRK, there are many market moving events coming up. True it is uncertain it will move the demand up or down but it will move it, that is for sure. Bet on these:

- Kristov Atlas Review
- Open source
- marketing (Evan and DarkCoin foundation founders have good links to the press)
- RC5
- additional MN services building the Darkconomy

Investing is taking a chance when market moving events are upcoming. Well it can't get more interesting than DRK at the moment.

I haven't got a GUI wallet yet. My coins are still on the exchange.

Is it safe to get one ? Is there any interesting stuff to see - like background "washing" of coins etc ?

Is there a Mac one ?

An average user creates transactions volume, spreads the word about the coin and does many useful things. A currency won't be able to survive long term just by relying on a few loyal (long-sighted) users. If DRK aspires for mass-adoption, the average user should be catered to as well. Also your example of Bitcoin doesn't fit in the current picture. There was no competition back in 2009 hence people interested in digital currencies had no other options than stick to Bitcoin.

There simply are no "average users" yet.  Maybe for Bitcoin as there are real places to purchase things with your BTC, maybe, just a little bit, lightcoin and dogecoin, but not really.  Everyone in alt cryptos is an investor at the moment, sans very few exceptions.

Yet it is the "average user" that will make or break us.

So yes, Darkcoin is currently speculation.  To get those "average users" you must think customers, not "average user" and why would they want to bother with Darkcoin?

Of course, I'm here because I think our customers (and I'll be one of them, because having hung out here the past 8 1/2 months, I've realized that I DO need my privacy!  Heck, I'll be a customer to "SafetyNet or ISIS, or whatever" because I no longer think my dear cousin who has always been privacy psycho is paranoid, LOL. ) have plenty of needs that we can fulfill.  The first will be businesses, because they understand.  Then, the word will start to spread, and we will begin to draw in the true "regular users" which will be the backbone of the system.

BTW, how can the data of the internet be passed through 1000 masternodes without clogging things up?  Is that even remotely possible?  I'm not technical, so I'd appreciate any insight.  Thanks Smiley
