but they are no longer in existence anymore.
There is absolutely no way their business model could work. If there were a way to sell weapons on the dark net, I would be all over it. I can openly admit this because I don't and won't do it. I would love to. But it cannot be done. I've thought about it. A lot. It just can't be done. The Silk Road model simply won't work on obvious gun x-ray. Dumb to even think about it. Disassembly will not help. Gun parts are obvious. No way that crap will ever work. Shipments will never get through. I'm not dumb enough to waste my time. Anyone proposing to beat x-ray machines and mail guns to you is the guv itself and you'll get an arrest warrant, not a gun, if you ever buy from anyone proposing such a transaction. Its amazing what people will believe when they want it to be true...

Most people who spend BTC on dark markets cash in and out on the same dark markets.
There is next to no special coding work needed, forked from BTC. DRK plugs right in.
I've used tumblers because I had no better option. Anyone who would intentionally choose a tumbler over DRK is fucking dumb as shit... Tumblers are a maybe at best, cost a hell of a lot more, require foolhardy trust that aren't a honeypot themselves... That poster is either genuinely very, very stupid, or working for the guv...
A few moments outside of this DRK world we've all become so comfortable with and you realise just how little understanding there is of Bitcoin's major flaw. That that guy could be moving around in darknet circles and just sprouting such a naive view about Bitcoin addresses, post the original SR take-down, just goes to show you how lacking in situational awareness so many people are (but then it most likely goes with the territory of that realm too).

Oblivious, arrogant, and gonna tell you how wrong you are... Condition White. I actually used Silk Road accounts as a mixer because they had way more traffic than any mixing service, and they were free... To send in coin and pull it a few hours later showed no taint. Freakin' fast because traffic. The qtys could still be correlated I'm sure. I don't deal in such wares. Knowing where the dealers live and using them to your advantage doesn't prove you did any business with them. Guilt by association is still not admissable in most courts...

The jeniuses love to give advice to those who manage to be even dumber... Makes them feel important. My use of SR was pretty much that; just used them, to mix/tumble. More peripheral than sophisticated. Useful idiots. High volume, obviously single-wallet using the built-in account system. You could do it with Mintpal, too. SR just made it easier to create a bunch of random burner accounts really fast with no email verification and no IP. I suppose you could use any dark market that way. Would at least throw tracking efforts a bit awry as not all traffic could be assumed to be illicit. I think ever BTC I ever held had a link to SR. Never bought or sold anything there tho... The mess they think they know...

Do they, really? Ever see that episode of Family Guy where Peter thinks he can be a better father to Cleaveland Junior, but the dumb kid just runs off in the middle of a golf tournament? That is the person who thinks he can influence cryptotards. Its a mob of Cleaveland Juniors, but with much less raw intellect and manners. Go ahead and tell them all about it. They'll get distracted by a polished turd before you finish the sentence... Shiny turds... Speaking of, where's shojayxt? Did he finally get tired of showing off his polished turd collection with his sock puppet collection?

It will be useful to make professional PR-promotion «Why using Darkcoin is better than using Bitcoin-mixers?» Because most people sincerely don’t understand it. And it’s the most obvious part of crypto-market that Darkcoin can win with minimum efforts. But it is needed to be popularly explained.

Too much fanboying going on there imo. Some people attach way too many emotions to this, I understand they are passionate about the coin but should still keep a cool head when trying to explain the inner working to outsiders.

I thought the conversation was quite civil. In fact I had one poster thank me for carrying on a mature and respectful conversation. Although when people post facts that are just wrong they need to be corrected. Don't ya think? Edit: My self included

Dark Market scene seems pretty negative now, from this reddit-thread. But like I always said, it will take 3/4 till one year, till fist major market will accept an anon coin. Be it Dark or another. Three things to notice:
a) how cares what the major DM scene things about coin XY, the owner(s) of a market dedice what coin(s) are accepted and they can always be bribed (and they will be bribed) b) there is alot of non-sense in the thread, like "it would involve a relatively large amount of coding work", which is untrue, DarkCoin is Bitcoin-based, the adaptation is pretty minimal and can be done be every coder in very short time (as from API view DRK and BTC are basically the same) c) the biggest problem for Dark to be accepted is not even mentioned in the thread, its that Dark doesnt allow Multi-Sig-Escrow and as you may know or at least can research eg. at www.deepdotweb.com ALL major dark markets today secure customer funds via Multi-Sig to make it short: No Multi-Sig-Escrow (in DarkCoin) -> no DarkCoin @ Dark Markets or the other away once there is Multi-Sig-Escrow (in DarkCoin) -> big chance of getting DarkCoin @ Dark Markets
