Thanks for posting this! I called DHL and did the same sleuthing...and turns out it was picked up. I had them give me the tracking number...Angela had said she'd give it to me when it shipped, but apparently forgot to. Supposedly, it'll arrive Monday. was hoping to have the weekend to work on it, as it looks like it's going to take some electronics work to get it going...oh well. Jack REALLY needs to hire someone just to oversee accounts receivable/deliverable...someone fluent in English. Okay!! Good news! I did a little detective work and jack has recently registered my shipping info with DHL today! I was able to get a tracking number through them! I am seriously relieved!!! I expect jack is gonna have another spread sheet for us when he wakes up! Can you explain, how did you that? Thanks. I called dhl. 1800-call-dhl then i explained i didnt have a tracking number but was trying to find if i had a package coming. He asked for my zip code the country the package was coming from and my name. Once he found it all i had to do was verify my address for him to give me the tracking number. We can all rejoice!!!

Do we lose warranty if we overclock to more than the default 600Mhz (for example someone suggested 850Mhz)? I don't want to risk anything, so I thought I'd ask before I do something stupid

I don't want to risk anything, so I thought I'd ask before I do something stupid I don't put any stock in the warranty, personally...I doubt very seriously whether I'd have any success getting a replacement, the way things have gone. I'd be worried I'd send something back and have it get lost in the mayhem of their warehouse, with no record of receiving it. I plan to just overclock them, keep them cool and use them as long as they'll last.

Received my LA3M (10 units) yesterday. Mine are the "gold" variety and they do not have the firmware upgrade button. So far, I have not been able to mine at all. Hoping someone can point me in the direction of answers, as there are several roadblocks: (1) (solved) The OP posted drivers do not work on my system (win 8.1). However, I was able to get the correct drivers installed from here: http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/tools/PF257938# (2) There does not appear to be any firmware upgrade button on mine, so I am unable to upgrade the firmware. After installing the correct vcom drivers I can successfully connect the device and get a virtual com port, but when I run the firmware upgrader it says USART cannot be opened ... which I assume is because I do not have the white firmware upgade button? In any event, it appears we are stuck with the shipped firmware whatever that is. (3) I could not locate a firmware update of any kind for the wiibox controller. Anyone know where to find? Beastlymac mentions such an upgrade, but I do not see it anywhere. (4) After connecting everything and locating the wiibox, I am able to enter pool info, but the miners are all offline and never come online. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s1/sh/08105abf-788f-4a9b-aeaf-cef0b92f9418/9884f414827d8dcf5f3a267db2b9dea7(5) In the screenshot above, you can see the USB power is cycling. Not sure if this is the problem but I cannot get it to start hashing at all. I am using the supplied powered hub and power supplies. Note I disconnected 5 units to make testing/troubleshooting simpler, but I do have 10 (6) I cannot SSH into the unit to try to tweak/fix without a password which was not supplied. Anyone know what the default is? Any ideas greatly appreciated! As an aside to those still waiting on units, mine came with (2) power supplies, 10 USB cables for the miners, a powered 10 port USB hub, power cables to go from the power supply to each miner, 110V AC cords (2), 10 miners (gold fins), wiibox controller with USB cable and power supply. Packaging of the miners was very nice and safe even from DHL's bungling.

Also would love to know this as my wiibox controller was originally mining ok but is now stuck with this offline issue where no work is done. I'm hoping doing a factory reset on it might clear things. Would also love to know this as the gui doesn't give you much information on what's going on (the logging page shows blank on mine when it fails to mine). Anyways if you figure any of this out post back to this thread or PM. I'll do the same.

I paid BTC (and it was confirmed as received by Jack) on the 8th. No device, no tracking.
This leaves a bad taste. Is there anyone who paid via BTC and received a miner or at least a tracking id ? Bump this. Are we getting B scammed but reversible payments are going through?

Someone on the previous page paid in BTC. He didn't get any communication from asiabtc, but DHL called him to let him know his package is coming today.

No reason you can't, just point the miners at the computer running the wallet.

My unit is also stuck with this issue, sometimes units show up offline like this, sometimes they show up online with 0Kh/s. I think the problem could come the USB hub. I have one LA3M which wasn't hashing at all, not detecting the units. By trial and error using parts from the other LA3M, I went to the conclusion the USB hub was causing the issues. You have two leds : one red, when you switch on power, and one green, when you connect the hub to the controller. On the faulty hub, the green led never switches on. Please check if you have the same problem (red light on, green ligh off). If yes then you need to replace the hub (not easy to find !) Eric

Hi guys can we start a "Gridseed Tech Support Thread" instead of keeping all these technical questions/responses in this one?
I think it would be to everyone's benefit if all of the troubleshooting/instructional/etc. material were separated out...so this thread stays on topic for buying these units...and the new thread deals with the aftermath of getting them.

Good deal, I hope to see some posts from those who've managed to get theirs hashing at the rates Jack showed in his "secret" photo. He hasn't been willing to give up that information. Hi guys can we start a "Gridseed Tech Support Thread" instead of keeping all these technical questions/responses in this one?
