awwww hell I talked myself into it.
I sold, realised a 60% loss
Now I have glorious BTC again.
The only way is up from here.
No more get rich quick ideas for me, No more listening to youtubers pump and hodl/dump. A small percentage of hodlers (bagholders) may have brought into the movement but a large percentage of people caught up will have moved with the market, for every sale theres a winner and a loser.
I ended up being the loser in this case.
I hope the person that brought my chc makes a tidy profit, and doesn't come to a loss.
Good luck chaincoin, but im out.
Needless to say the uncertainty of whether to hodl and lose more or sell and lose is now off my shoulders and it feels good, despite the smarting pain of loss.
Hey man that's a bummer. You did what you felt like you needed to do but it wasn't a loss until you sold. Sorry to see you go. Hopefully you'll realize some gains to offset your losses. I remember the financial crash of 2008. Everybody was losing money. 401k's were taking a huge hit. I had a friend that panicked and sold at the bottom despite my advice not to. While he sold I was using every extra dime I could scrounge up to put into the market. Guess what, the market corrected and is now at record highs. I made a ton of money but my friend lost his ass. Had he kept his investment alone it would be twice what it was then. Unfortunately for him he put all his money into a money market account and sat on the sidelines while record profits were made. At the same time my mother was panicking as well. I convinced her to ride it out. She thanks me every time she see's me.

Guys and gals I would just relax and continue to hold on to these jewels. The reason I recommend this is because current coin count and circulation is really low, so far no issues like the ones pivx had with there masternodes, and the ATH was 8 or 12 bucks... Just let the weak hands get out and we'll get back to the profits soon. P.S - If anything, this is your chance to buy and get in on a masternode.

Maybe some other master node will work out for you like CRW that has a solid team and direction. If you not able to afford CRW then look into AMS or TRC. I've been with CHC since the start and I will be with CHC until the block chain breaks/stops moving. I also run most master node coins.
Crown... Would love a crown masternode but needing 10k coins instead of 1k is a pain. I'd definitely go in for a thousand but 10k is ...nerve wracking.
Still I recently added to my dash stash and that appreciated in two weeks what I lost on chaincoin so... I can be whimsical about it all.

Some times I feel like there's a gay Jewish AI in the future that's uses a hadron supercollider to modify events and their outcomes in the past so I can never achieve true success in life. With my purchase of CHC I feel this is one of those times.
There's nothing wrong with CHC, there's no reason the coin should be tanking with this much support. It feels like there's a conspiracy not to make money but just to screw users out of spite.
"tanking" - the coin is up by ~1,000% over the past 3 weeks. Crypto-people are weird. It should have been a clue when the coin was up by 4,000% and still rising that this was probably not going to last

I know how you feel.
Still onwards and upwards. People say you can't force the market to do what you want. You will get burned. This is a valuable learning experience to reinforce that idea.
I converted the chc into btc. Withdrew from cryptopia. Btc safe and sound in my trezor. Time to hodl until after Aug 01 and see where we end up.

I've been with CHC since the start and I will be with CHC until the block chain breaks/stops moving. I also run most master node coins. Yep. Game Over. RIP CHC.
That was said back in 2015. lol Patience everyone. Why is it that humans are so impatient? It must be something deeply ingrained in human psychology, but that impulse to react quickly is our undoing when it comes to certain things, investing being one that comes to mind. Also, pilots have the same considerations, the best ones are systematic and calm no matter what, because in that world if you panic you die. I'm absolutely calm. I know we'll find the real price floor as time goes on. We will eventually get control of enough CHC to reverse this. It may go much lower in the mean time, but eventually, CHC is going to be recognized as a real coin, the first one that is community-based instead of feature based. nobody can control CHC and reverse this downfall. Its pure pump and dump . Control what? Setup MN and how many percent is that working out for u all??

I saw that ChainCoin got huge pump. That happened because of introducing masternodes? Really smart move It's always had master nodes I believe. There were no new developments. It got a huge pump, b/c a youtuber highoncoins instructed everyone of his followers to buy it and hold on the pretense that they are fighting a war to change the crypto landscape. Master nodes were added around Feb 2016 and that is when I started to run my CHC master node. There were four to six running at the time for a few months then a few more were added. Not until last month is when the master node count exploded into the thousands. Looking at my wallet I was solo mining CHC for a couple of weeks back in Jan 2015 and then solo mined for a day in June 2015. I also solo mined some blocks at launch and it seemed that I pool mined now and again through the years. https://chc.masternodes.pro/CHC LOCKED IN MASTERNODES 1,971,000 (13.08%)Thanks for interesting story! I notice that most of the time such loyal and patient project supporters get rewarded in the end! You deserve the reward for sure

It's all a matter of perspective. If you brought 3 weeks ago the recent fireworks might be harmless/amusing depending on whether you hodled or sold to suckers at the top. If you brought on the way up. Watched FUD destroy it. Saw it crash and watched your hard earned wealth vaporize it's probably not so amusing and feels like a classic pump and dump despite all the cries of community and hodl and sticking it to the whales.
I see it's dropped a boatload more since I sold. Thank satoshi I made that call.

Put a sell order? And wait? I'd rather take a loss and put the capital back into a productive coin which will appreciate over time rather than a pump and dump scam.
If you told me Bitcoin would up after a crash I'd believe. If you tell me a dead coin with no devs and people panicking left right and centre is crashing and come back it's a much tougher sell.

This is a technical signal called exhaustion and V reversal. Notice the volume increasing downward to a crescendo at maximum volume, then price reversal. What just happened is the weak hands got washed out.

If you look closer at the release, you will see what I and others have said above. Its extremely minimal code changes, if anything its full of swaping DASH/Darkcoin for Chaincoin text and images. Those 7 commits consisted of fixing typos, changing the build numbers, adding more seeds, and 3 very small bug fixes where the developer only changed the sequence of events. These changes could be completed in 10 minutes by any competent developer. Before this so called 'release' the code development has been practically non-existent.
You said that they are preparing for Bittrex? I hope you realize that the Bitrrex goal was in their Q2 goals. They have not met any of the Q2 goals, now the end of Q3 is approaching and progress still has not been made. The 3-4 Devs you talk about also arent pushing much code... They promised the Masternode update V. 0.12 to be released in Q2. Again, Q3 is almost over and the update is still not complete. ---------------- You talk about the team being busy? What are they doing? - They have no white paper (WHAT??!) - They have no backup to their website - Their twitter has been dead (Until they JUST created a new one this past week) - Their blog has been dead (and probably still is) - Their 'lead dev' @Roli has been silent - They rarely release any announcements, the only announcements i have seen is to stand by for more announcements... Where is the progress??? What has been accomplished in 2017 for CHC development? Practically and virtually nothing This coin appears to be mostly dead, with some random new-recruits from the community who will attempt to revive it. Chaincoin works and it is very stable transactions are almost instant. There are no major bugs with the coin or wallet. With all the hype with masternode coins I bought into many of them and many of them have major bugs. Their wallets crash or have some other major network issues. Chaincoin is solid and maintained. You are making a mistake of not acknowledging that HODL movement happened. CHC before and after HODL movement is not the same coin. It now has a huge community of masternode owners and HODLers behind it. Number of masternode owners is probably only second to Dash. Yes it has the potential of becoming masternode coin number 2 easily. It actually was no2 mn coin for a while it had bigger market cap than PIVX. And for devs they are very active they chat to people on slack even Roli is very active. And there are new people in the core team like brakmic who is a huge addition to the team and very active on both slack and discord. Look at his portfolio https://stackoverflow.com/story/brakmic he is a serious dev with 20+ years of experience in software development. Simply put CHC before HODL movement and CHC after the hodl movement is not the same coin. People have now seen where it can go and nothing will be the same ever again. With 2100 people on slack and 2000+ people on discord coin is more alive then 95% of other coins on coinmarketcap. Frankly you sound like someone who sold at 0.05$ only to wake up next week and see that the price has gone up 100x times. I know it is hard to accept that but chaincoin has over night become a serious masternode coin. With 100 new nodes / day it will soon have more masternodes than PIVX. Price wise it has enourmous potential and if devs implement the dev fund they will have more than $30000 $ every month to put into development. Investors love the dev fund because it warrants that coin will have active development so it means even more investments. Future is very bright for this coin. How is that HODL movement working for you? I hope you realize the volume of the HODL movement/community needs to be greater than the sell volume. It is unrealistic to think a online community group first of all has the volume to sustain the price, and that they are actually going to hold as their comrades start secretly taking profit and selling on the side. This was a long term pump and dump, me and others have been saying this for a week and have yet to be corrected by any developers. Any counter-arguments are weak. Their site still isnt up, it still shows the site is under construction. I will bet you almost anything they did not have a proper backup of the site before the hack. Probably because they havent been doing anywork on the website in months/years. There still is no re-assurance from the team as bitcoin and practically ALL other altcoins are booming. CHC is free falling, and I wont be suprised to see it sub $0.25 in less than a week. I have been here for 4 months, far before High On Coins joined CHC. I got in at $0.05 cents, I made profit at the top, and now I am trying to prevent others from losing money. Telling them to HOLD while the ship is sinking is not doing anyone any favors. Who knows maybe the team will deliver, but history of their work ethic doesnt spark any confidence. Again: From a development perspective, what has CHC accomplished in 2017. Practically and Virtually and nothing.--------------------- BTW, you said that the code was active because it had a measly 7 commits in the release? I hope you realize most coins have hundreds of commits if not thousands per release.

Man, that is rough. My condolences. Sorry for your loss. It seems that I'm up 20.2 BTC without dumping a single CHC. I have sells places all the way up to $10 per CHC. Thanks!!! must be a huge whale
