Hi, friends. It seems that pool is dead, but it isn't. We only need more hashpower to start! Help us to do this and you will be rewarded with 0% Fee for lifetime! http://pool.anime.cf/

Hmm I hope this coin will grow. I think 0.00000020BTC per 1ANI is way too low.

Hi, my dears!
It looks like you don't want to vote on cryptsy just for coin. So I'm ready to pay 100 ANI for like.
Vote here: https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/74271/
How to vote: 1) Login with Facebook/Twitter/Google/; 2) Press on "Do you like this idea?"; 3) Post comment with your bitcointalk nickname; 4) Post here your ANI address.
Thank you.
With love, Ani-chan.

How about advertising this on 4chan and other anime-related places?
I was thinking what would be the best place to start actually using the coins, and figured what if in deviantART, you could tip people whose art you really dig, and buy stuff from them with ANI's? The site already has points system that you can use to purchase art and so on, and dollars can be used as well. But wouldn't AnimeCoin be just perfect for a setting like that? The site also has a huge anime fan base. And that would be just the place to have drawing competitions with good prizes and so on. Therefore, I created group http://animecoin.deviantart.com/ and I hope everyone will join! I am not graphically talented, so can't really create any content for the group, so it's still pretty crude looking portal. ani-chan, I'll assign you as the admin for the group if you'll join, and also others who are already familiar with the site and how it operates. I have also started tipping people with ANI's there, and no surprise they haven't even heard of it. But hopefully that will change.

Of course these places are the natural users of ANI...

Cheers - well, fingers crossed for some more people joining in soon! Thanks for the new pool - it looks great (especially the front page!)
EDIT: I am not convinced about the lack of people mining is the cause of the blocks not being accepted, as the pool is reporting no one on the pool at all - including me (who had 2 miners running on it), and therefore a zero kh hash rate. It must be some setting somewhere - I will check back myself onto the pool in the morning when I get up.
Same here as well. I threw a couple of my local machines at the pool yesterday for several hours. I received no accepted (or rejected) shares. I did notice that somewhere along the lines someone has 2 shares accepted in the pool. Ani-chan, I *think* your difficulty may be set a wee bit high? In checking other pools, they are reporting a stratum difficulty of, for example, .143 at one site, and another reports a stratum diff of 0.001. Your pool is reporting back a stratum difficulty of *32*. Megapools stratum difficulty of .143 (not exact, I didn't feel like capturing 19 decimal points and it's not germane to the discussion) requires you to have over a MH in order to gain shares more than occasionally. Ani.minepools.cc, with their diff of .001, allows users with lower cpu power to find shares (albeit we need to find more). Tinkering with the CLI arguments does allow me to bring down megapools stratum difficulty to the point where I get shares (but as stated, I need to get a lot more of them in order to get reasonable sized payouts). The numbers I am listing come from using the -D argument, and noting the reported stratum difficulty. Perhaps you could enable vardiff, or set your difficulty to a different (much lower) value? From the outside looking in, it appears your difficulty is about 200x that of megapools standard difficulty. Also, even though I had two miners merrily grinding away, the pool still reported zero miners. I would also note that I have, in that same period of time, mined over 1500 ani-coins elsewhere. I normally average 2400-2800 coins per day just from my personal desktop and the miner running in the background. Tossing in my *nix boxes (once I compile the miner on them) will more than double that. I don't know the back end of the pool systems (guess I could try and compile source on a spare box here), so I'm not sure exactly how to give more "Go here and change X to Y to solve the potential issue" instructions (Edit by paladinpizza - I also see that the rejected shares are over 1000? 2 accepted, 1025 rejected? Could this also be an indicator of the diff being so high?) Hope this helps!

You have only to set it after your address : Ex : cgminer -o stratum+tcp://anime.megapools.org:4321 -p xxx -u YOURADDRESS/1000+0.01 where 1000 is number of shares, and 0.01 will your new diff.
