Getting an error with my wallet: WARNING: Checkpoint is too old.  Redownload blockchain.  If error persists contact the Develpment team.

I deleted blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat, restarted the wallet.  It downloaded to block 38186 and got stuck again.  

Do I need to delete other files and reload, or just backup wallet.dat, dump the whole thing and start over?

Don't worry about that, same thing happened before the 1.1 update, an update is coming. You can still receive and send coins.

There will be profit taking, difficulty is sliding down ever so slowly .. so place some orders at 2000 just in case there is the auto dump again.

No-one that's not able to get it to 0.001 themselves (or a group of collaberators) knows when or even IF it'll get there.
There's much belief that it will, but until we have sufficient numbers knowing about this coin, it's not going to get there or stay there.

Instead of just asking when it will get there so you get rich and move on to something else, why not get the word out, put some effort into developing the coin and actually earn your profits!

Seems a bit random which wallet won't sync when. I can't get MINT to sync right now for about 5 days, and I have about 20 wallets working just fine.

CASH is very much a work in progress coin with tremendous potential. Mine for couple days, since diff is still very low and rises beautifully when people mine it. The only way to exploit CASH is on the exchanges, since technologically auto-swapping pools can not, although when diff was very low and price shot up 20%, it actually appeared on CoinEx auto pool for a brief moment and then diff changed, and auto pool went to EAC and lottocoin.

Every day I get more impressed by tech behind CASH and itching to help make it work, while exploiting some of those crap coins to generate BTC to keep price near to 2000 before we can sort things out. If others are doing it and worst still auto-switching monstrosities, so will I (while keeping some MHs pointed at CASH), and regular miners and non-pro's need a safe coin to mine, so spread the word.

By the way the price was leaping, candle chart looked steeper then Everest.
