Except they're trying to just basically source 1200 BTC of donations ....

Who's going to provide an investment with next to 0 chance of receiving it back in a worthwhile amount of time, and NO guarantee of theft protection ...

This is one of the reasons GOX went under. They hit the paradox..

If they will find some investor who will dicide to buy them company for 1200 btc they will get that moneys.
Why 1200 btc btw? 800 btc + 2200 ltc it is 860 btc not 1200.

And btc get cheaper each day...

How do you fix that when your worth was nowhere near that to begin with? "Hey public / investors / folks, can we borrow 1200 BTC" ?

That's their "plan", yes. They also seem to be kicking some of that debt on shitcoin developers.

That's what I was worried about.. that my theory was their plan. It won't work because of the paradox they've now entered. It doesn't matter even if they could get back to a 0 balance, people won't trust them anymore, no trust=no transaction fees to payback the loans. Smart people won't loan them the BTC, = no way the exchange will ever work again.

Coin by coin you'll see it go insolvent.. mark my words on that one. It's dead. Trade out and leave now while you can. I'm already hearing a few folks had issues with altcoins over the weekend..

If they will restore btc balace people will trust them. Exchange which returned lost btc at least not scam. At hopefull got hard lesson and will be paranoid about security.
Even btc-e was hacked once long ago but they returned all btc and people trust them.

So far there is no indication that they have learned anything about security or that they have a solid plan to "restore balance". But if there is one thing I learned in this thread is that most of their customers don't really care, as long as they have a place to p&d their coins. So maybe it will survive against all odds.

I rescued my coins per converting them into fun, the state is: Now i've got over 1% of the NDL's huge abt. 13 billion coins in their ("my") wallet. For short, its the "Noodly Appendage Coin" of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (the FSM)  Grin . They where only being traded on cryptorush so far and i love the idea, so lets see, if i will be able to use one of these coins ever again.

I hope so. Coins with a true philosophical fun factor should be able to survive the Only-Covered-By-Greed-And-Made-To-Ride-Bushfires-Coins, i assume.

Before we begin, we should take a hard look at ourselves first.

too bad
i didn't read updated news, too late now i can't WD my BTC there  Embarrassed
how about another coin? can we buy it using BTC and WD that coin?

No, I will not disclose my real name on the Internet. The very simple reason I’m anonymous is so that I can talk freely about a free web. One mistake people often make is having the faulty assumption that knowing my real name or my association with a respected person, group or organization might get them to trust me more. In fact, I have no authority here. Elastic Project is a loosely associated group of developers which constantly changes over time. If you prefer projects with a more centralized structure, then please move on. Specifically, I kindly ask you to refrain from any messages that try to convince me of the contrary. My time is too valuable to be wasted with the same discussion again and again.
