Why would they create all this downtime and lose X amout of trading fees over this 3weeks, it doesn't make sense to me, nobody wants all this drama happening.

Are you seriously suggesting that they should have kept the twice-hacked exchange running? Shutting it down was the only sensible thing to do, provided they can actually fix the damn thing.

Re-opening or how we should call it ..is one big joke from cryptorush team ... I would appreciate if they reveal their identities instead of reopening Wink

CryptoCurrency Exchange @ crycurex.com

One of the lowest trading fees 0.09 % per trade

Actually this isn't 2.0 version it's more like... 4.0 or 5.0?

Let's see, first there was CryptoRush 1.0.

Then they announced the whole fyrstrikken acquisition and list of changes and improvements planned, which in fact turned out to be basically smoke, mirrors, and bullshit; I guess that would be Crypto Rush 2.0.

Then they announced some new leadership/owners and other changes and there were some IRC logs that they verified were real, that was more or less 3.0

Then they said some guy affiliated with a university was now involved and helping them out and taking over the servers, that could be 4.0

Now some guy who uses the handle "X3n0X" (that totally sounds like the username of a reputable mature adult person who we want handling our money, and not at all like some 14-year-old wannabe hacker kid) is claiming to be the head honcho. So is that Crypto Rush 5.0?

I may have some of these events out of order as it all kind of blends together when they keep changing from one vague ownership structure that isn't really formally defined and is probably largely bullshit to another.

Actually the more I think about the more it looks like these guys might be honestly naive enough to try to recover the exchange with the misguided belief that the "brand" is worth something.

If they were scammers, and made 0.5-1.3 megausd according to some estimates, why would they try to put up a new facade? To scam more money? Why not create a brand new exchange with the same goal, invest the money in marketing instead of sinking into the deep hole, start without bad baggage from CryptoRush, and two months later there would be enough deposits for another "hack".

But whether they are clueless scammers, or clueless exchange operators, the most astounding part of all this is the number of people who would stop at nothing to give them their money. I'm clearly in the wrong business.

Because there are new suckers all the time who may not know about their reputation, and there are yet folks here who have seen the losses and still want to believe the exchange is good. That's why.

I mean, if I had a scam going and I could literally not keep people from falling for it no matter how obvious it was.. why would I stop?

Well, let's not forget that there are a lot of people who have coins "stuck" on the exchange, and others who bought CRS (CryptoRush Shares.) Those people are likely going to stick around in the hopes that they will eventually be made whole, and in the process may end up giving CR another shot.

Look at how bad Mt. Gox was, yet I would be willing to be if they announced next week that they had managed to recover the missing BTC or had a plan to pay it back over time, thousands of people would go right back to using that exchange.

They'll probably give a few back but never everything they owe. They'll do this just to garner some positive rep from the community.

Too bad these guys had to go down. Sometimes when you get in the game you have to be ready for contingencies... sounds like they didnt have a plan... good lessons for those getting into crypto startups... no shortcuts

No word yet on them reopening, no updates on twitter for the last week, Devs hard at work?

I hope they didn't put a brb sign up and then leave town.

Looking a little fishy, none of the links work on the site, just a front page so far...

Anyone have any updates or news from iirc?

or, just join irc, and ask the team there.
This thread is not maintained by the current CR team, and thats why there is nothing official in here.
Its just us speculating on anything regarding CR and its course.

In the meantime, i made another shirt, while waiting:

Maybe in a few days they'll release another bullshit PDF full of lies for our viewing pleasure. It seems like in all this time if they were really trying to re-launch the site they could have at least you know, built the site. I don't think a single damn link on the site actually works aside from that ludicrous PDF.

Sneak preview of what exactly, a template that a slave-laborer in a 3rd-world country could have set up in about 10 minutes?
