Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH??

I think that the Altcoins depend on bitcoin, and not on the etherium. When bitcoin falls, he pulls all the altcoins behind him.

altcoin prices I do not think depends, but little effect on bitcoin prices. because right now even though the price of btc and eth has decreased but there is altcoin price which is still good and not decrease drastically. so maybe altcoin is less dependent on btc or eth.

I think that is true because whenever i am looking at the market and the bitcoin pumps. Also the other cryptocurrencies are pumping. Maybe because thw popularity of bitcoin holds also the other cryptocurrency. And also the holding of tokens when it become exchanged in the market.

YES.Altcoin cost relies upon BTC and ETH Mostly cause there is no Altcoin/fiat match normally.Almost all combine are altcoin/btc or altcoin/ETH .So if eth or btc cost fractuate the cost of altcoin likewise changed.Thats the fundamental component behinf it.Thets why alts cost relies upon btc and eth.Maybe in close feture when we have all alts/fiat match it relies upon fiat.

As far as I know, there is no exchange where you can buy other alts with fiat.
Well, there are ones where you can directly buy ripple and ltc but beyond that, no.

At the moment yes Altcoins are depending on Bitcoin but soon that will change when the Flippenning occurs,  Altcoins will start to get valued independenlty of Bitcoin and we will begin to see the biggest explosion of the Cryptocurrency market.  

all I know is that Altcoin always depends on Bitcoin not on Ethereum because you also know if altcoin price always follow bitcoin movement until now and so now altcoin and bitcoin prices have not come back then from that many people who hold altcoin and wait for altcoin price again stable because if the price returns Bitcoin Altcoin price will also return

In my opinion altcoins are already too dependent in BTC and ETH. We could observe that when BTC and ETH price move down almost all of the alts will massively fall. This could imply that alts are dependent on BTC and ETH.

agree, everything depends on BTC and ETH. but there are some altcoins that only improve themselves, regardless of the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum. because I've seen it. but I think almost everything that happened with BTC affected Alts. Because BTC is the first coin and its king in the Crypto market. so if something goes wrong then all Alts are affected.

Even the price of ETH depends a lot on BTC. So it is natural that the exchanges rates of the other alts to have a strong association with that of Bitcoin. The only crypto-currency which has shown some sort of independence from Bitcoin is the newly created BCH.

Altcoins depend on Bitcoin but I do not see that tokens depend on Ethereum. ETH, like the other cryptocurrencies, is always following BTC. That is why it is very important to have Bitcoin in your portfolio.

I does not think its price is tag to eth or btc although the medium to exchange is using btc and eth more to the supply and demand of the crypto users. However we can see that as long as eth or btc is in a steady rise we should see altcoins price will grow as well but not for all the altcoins.

I guess so because we usually use bitcoin and ethereum in buying all other altcoins. As we buy altcoins there will always be demand to use bitcoin and ethereum so that also affect the value of both bitcoin and ethereum. They are both the medium of almost all the exchanges and its like altcoins are dependent with btc and eth. Just my personal opinion.

Most of the altcoins price depend on Bitcoin fluctuate in price most especially when it pump the altcoins dump and the rate of btc value will reduce drastically and dollar value might still be the same or just a slight difference and if the bitcoin price dump the altcoins pump which gives chance to altcoins to double their price by moving and converting btc to altcoins.
