I was mining at Eligius from the early 2014 to 2017-09-28. Last payment I received was 2017-05-25.
I must admit, that I am not very familiar with the pool rules. Because of that, I have the following question: am I eligible at all for payment for the last 4 months of mining (from May to September) as there was no mined block at this time? I was mining with Antminer S1 and KnC miner (400Ghz).
Due to the stats page being down many people have migrated to other pools.  Eligius has not solved many blocks recently.  Wizkid is still doing payouts when a block is solved.  You may want to PM him your payment address as that is the only way he will know who you are/what you have.
Thank you for the answer btcrealm. I have sent PM to Wizkid with this question (with addresses).

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Wow, I just noticed that the last block was one of the luckiest in pool history at 30sec... there have been a couple of those in the last few weeks.

Hi Folks,

I have been mining with Antpool and was doing some research to find a way to keep the transaction fees and dual mining for namecoin and stumbled upon this. I am sure the users here have been mining with Antpool and Eligius simultaneously to test it out. Can somebody please take couple mins to share their experience with this pool? Are you making more money on a daily basis compared to Antpool because the transaction fees are passed onto you?

Please provide feedback and thank you for your time.

Eligius was my first pool for the reasons you mentioned. but eligius more or less has evaporated.. over 400 days without a block...

This is such a shame because it is the biggest boom ever and now this pool seems dead.  I have PMed wizkid057 but I got no reply.  He must have 1000 messages.  I think he did not reply because he is coding the stats page.  How do we know if the pool gets a hit?

Check a block explorer for the most recent blocks solved by pools every couple of days.  I use blockchain.info's pool stats page.

Being brand new to BTC mining, how can I tell if my S9 miner is setup correctly to mine on Eligius?  I am looking for some way to confirm that the past 190 hours of mining have yielded something.  At the eligius.st website, "myEligius" doesn't recognize my wallet address.
Thanks in advance for helping a newbie.

I first mined on Eligius in July 2011 and late in 2014.
Not sure if Eligius is still usable for mining today. Anyone knows the operating status of the pool?

Thanks.

Just joined this pool. There is so much choice... but this pool and it supporters sound reliable and in the end it is all about trust... ;-)
All the best wishes for the miners here and especially for whizzkid, I hope 2018 will be the year everything will be back on track...

Hi everyone.

Starting out 2018 with a few upgrades and a path to getting things back on track here.

I have to physically move Eligius's server rack to the other end of the datacenter sometime between this weekend and next weekend.  There will be several hours of downtime while I work on this, so have some failovers for your miners available.  I'll post a note here as soon as I have a better idea on the timeframe.

After the move and mining is back online, next priority will be public stats, and then will move forward getting previously announced new features online from there.

The pool is running. Pool wide hash rate is pretty low, but still around a couple of Ph.  Hoping that will get a bump once the new stats are up and running.  Miners are still being paid for work when we find blocks, so no worries.

And contrary to some misinformation that's been spread around, Eligius pays out the full block subsidy _plus_ transaction fees with a 0% pool fee.

Thanks again for the support, everyone!

-wk

Hey pguarache & SLEI, did you get an answer from wizkid057?

No answer but I send the message only one month ago Cheesy  Miner was beeping this week many times as it didn't get connection to other end of line (net was ok for other computers) so maybe I'm not mining to Bitmain pocket and pool servers were moving?

Thanks for the update Wizkid! You are the best... Eligius has been my pool of choice from the start in 2014 but I hadn't been active in the forum. I only have S1 & S2 so not adding much TH but you have always been honest and paid when I got to the threshold, thank you...I look forward to the launch of the stats page so others, who have lost faith, will return and we can find more blocks.

A friend has been mining there blindly for about 3 weeks now using an S9 (so expecting about 0.04BTC) but there have been no payouts and the stats page is down (replaced by a slightly confusing post about moving "hu" to "ra")

has eligius not paid me yet, or is it a problem that i used a segwit address (beginning in '3')?

well let me start by saying i didnt read all 1600 posts. obviously.

I havent used eligius in a long time, and suggested it to a friend when he bought an S9 last month and needed a pool. Its been several weeks and he wanted to see how its done - stats page is down and theres been no payments to his wallet (despite an expected ~0.04BTC)

My biggest worry is that he used a segwit address, and if eligius is incompatible he may not have gained any rewards at all for 3 weeks of mining

I meant You have activity 1680 so I was thinking You have made about that many posts.
I have mined in Eligius many years and I hope that my garage heating S7, which don't want to reset, mines there now also, but the stats have been down about a year. I hope my heater is mining to Eligius not Bitmain default address, but I haven't got verification from  wizkid057 that I get shares. I did get payment last winter/spring when stats where allready down but in current situation I can't recommend pool to anybody how waits are steady incom from mining.
