I'll be posting the Phase 2 project plan today so everyone can take a look and see where we're going (you may find it currently on the private r/karmacoinproject subreddit). We now need need to plan resources for the next few months.

Please advise on a (realistic) estimation of your committment to KarmaCoin over the next 3 months, and I'll mark it above. This will give us a better idea of time estimations so we can get things done. Let me know which one in the column I should put for your name:

• Fully Committed (I want to help us get to 500 satoshi and I'm willing to do what it takes)
• partially committed (Please assign my role to someone else and I will chip in where I can)
• not sure
• can't commit now. (Please take me off the list)

As you have probably guessed by now, I like to work quickly and efficiently. This is not only believe the altcoin market is saturated and highly competitive, but also because I believe in KarmaCoin and believe that we can get to 500 satoshi by 2015. (This number represents a lot of things, particularly the value that we bring to everyone. It's a goal that is achievable under the right circumstances. This is how we do it.) WE CAN DO IT!

Many new coins are born every day. Many coins are dying every week. We want KarmaCoin to succeed, right? In order to not die, we need to work smart, work quickly, and get things done. Then when people around the world are using KarmaCoin in more ways than we can imagine right now we can take a break. But that time is not now. Now is the time for action.

3. This one is the biggest one.. go take a look at his facebook.  At first..it seems normal..and he seems to have normal friends.  But go look into his friend list and you can see what's wrong.  "Works at God", "Works at student", "Working at Servant of Allah", "Works at Study", "Works at owner of gd sex".
4. If you click into his friends individually..and keep scrolling down to the bottom and pressing "more info"..you will see that their profiles were all created during February and March of this year.  The twitter was also created in February.

Conclusion?  Otherwise proven..this has a big SCAM written all over it.

He's trying to scam us in the name of charity..and using our coin as well.

I would agree that is is suspicious but of course can't be sure yet. But we definitely need a process, because more of these will pop up as we go along. I'm sure Dogecoin gets hundreds of these requests with a few scams mixed in.

Any new thing may be a scam (especially those unannounced and unplanned) but at this time we cannot be sure.

A person's ability to communicate in English does not dictate the legitimacy of a cause (especially in another country that uses a different type of English) and neither should other things that may vary from culture to culture (such as methods of contact, website design, name confusion, etc). There are some wonderful causes where the founder can't speak English well, I'm sure. We must give people the benefit of the doubt while keeping a sharp eye. This is KarmaCoin after all. We wouldn't want others to think we're a scam, either, so it is a lesson in process for us. (That's why I'm so vocal about branding and message.. so people will give us serious consideration worldwide, including in countries where English is not widely spoken. We will have setbacks from rolling out globally as well.)

The point is that these things will come up. It's good that it's happening now because it shows us that we need a process for these sorts of things (including forum moderation, if possible) before we become more popular. This way, we can make sure that anyone using the "KarmaCoin" name in future is likely to be doing so for a legitimate reason.

Who will volunteer to create the process? We can be quick to put something down but how quick will we be to lift Karma up and "make it happen"?

And who will help to work on a solid and unified branding message so that other people will know how legitimate we are?

i am not worried about the price. It is only because people are trying to jump into new coins and try to make a buck. coins like aurora and maza.

Soon this investors will get tired of trading left and right and decide to start investing somewhere strong. Look around. a lot of coins are falling in prices. Even the almighty doge is suffering : (

I think we are over the "zomg new coin" . Network is saturated with new coins. Its a clasterf--k. Now it the ultimate test. only the strong will move forward.

also a lot of people here got tricked into investing into those coins and IPOs. So the coins definitely lost a lot of BTCs that could have gone into good coins


As long as we got a mission, we got a cause.

So far the evidence gathered:
1. Recently registered website
2. Recently registered facebook and twitter accounts
3. Fake facebook friends who registered in February and March
4. Fake promotion picture stolen from someone's blog

If this doesn't convince anyone, I don't know what will.
And in the very ridiculously unlikely event where he is actually legit, would u want someone like him running a charity with our branding?

We need to get some momentum going here in this crucial survival stage of karma coin.. and the last thing we need is for some negative media attention relating us to a scammer.
