I don't see any good reason why Chelsea would lose that match as the fight for that 4th place in Premier League is so intense. I've watched the match against Everton and they were just dominated, barely getting to Everton target as they had only one shot on target the whole match. Chelsea desperately needs this victory and I don't think they will miss this opportunity to get an easy 3 points.

@MakeMoneyBtc - Our tipster managed to get 6/6 one week in March so I wouldn't discount West Ham completely just yet. If Chelsea don't pull out a convincing win against Brighton they could start the next game with their heads down - especially if Sarri can't motivate the team.

I like the tip, but Chelsea have a way of see sawing between performances. They should have lost their last game, so that form means they should play well in their next couple of matches. But Hammers aren't a shit team anyway!

I haven't bet against City in a while but got 2 of their upsets right, so my leaning is for Cardiff to pull out all their frustrations against City, who aren't really that good to get into scrapes. So I smell a draw, unless Cardiff surprise me and actually try to play good football. 0.5 handicap at 11/1 anyone?

@hilarious - Wow, you are doing well. I lost a 4 fold (both teams to score by 1 goal - M’boro failed to score vs Norwich).

I've done even better in previous seasons. Last year I was only about £500 profit but the ones before that were £1k plus and over £3k before that. Think I was over £5k profit on the 2014 World Cup and following Premier League season combined (though I won over £500 on the opening game when Brazil won 3-1 and I got the correct score and Neymar to score). I strictly stick to three folds for football. Any more and you're unlikely to win. I usually play Skybet's enhanced Saturday offer as well and it usually comes in more often or not. Sometimes I might get experimental with my free £5 bet though. Maybe stick a draw or two in on the games that I can't call.

What's wrong with accumulators? I win most of my money on three folds. I usually put £25 on them and look for minimum odds of 4/1.

That is my favorite way of betting as well. I usually play doubles or trebles with total odds ranging from 2.5-4.5. My stake is usually a bit higher, if I am happy with chosen games I place around 100$ on it and if the games are chosen on days like today when choice is tough I lower my stakes to "fun" range of maybe 5$.

I've thought about going higher stakes but don't want to go to crazy. Obviously the higher the stake the bigger the win but also bigger the loss. I could quickly lose my bank roll if I'm doing those stakes, but given my winning history going higher odds would make sense, though statistically my luck can't last forever. Maybe I'll see how much I have in my bankroll at the end of the season and move up to £100 bets or something. It's all profit so far so even if I lose that I'm still up. Don't want to throw it all away though.

Kinda already explained it. I tend to stick to threefolds on the favourites at odds of 4-5/1 or more. They obviously don't always win but I'm usually up over the month and sometimes I hit winning streaks where I'm 3-500 up a month. Sticking to a limit also helps. I usually do £25 stakes every week though double when Champions League is on. Look out for Skybet's enhanced accumulators. As above, they give you an option of going with the draw and other team winning on the closer matches which is sometimes good to put on to cover your bases. Betting £25 a week will also get you a free bet which gives you a chance to try get your money back at least or even more if you go experimental. Won a few hundred quid a couple of times from my free bets.

I wouldn't back West Ham away. Maybe at home, but those sorts of games I tend to go for draws.

I think with betting it's best to see it as entertainment and a bit of fun rather than a way to make money. Sticking to £25 a week is cheaper than a night out or a takeaway and it adds extra excitement to the weekend for me so win or lose I've spent £25 on entertainment. If you stick to a bankroll and only betting a certain amount each week things won't spiral out of control and you won't start to chase your losses. When the Premier/Champions League is over I don't bet at all unless there's an international tournament on, but I stick to £100-£150 for my bankroll for that.

Let' say every bet is 2% of your bank and you can never run out of the money. If it is going well, bank and money grows and if it isn't, you make smaller and smaller bets until it picks up again. Obviously, for serious betting you need large bank but you can try it with very small amounts and see if it works for you. Real money maker here is to learn when to bet with max stake (up to 5%) and when to play just for fun (less than 0.5%). That is only way that works for me. Everything else I tried I just end up loosing money.

That doesn't work for me, i need to have a spreadsheet:
1. Big bank - i don't feel comfortable depositing large amounts to any single entity
2. Multiple sites - I am using at least 4 betting sites regularly, 2 domestic ones (fiat) and 2 crypto (nitrogen, wbet7). When you start entering bets in spreadsheet and see how much of $ difference you get for a little bit better odds..... It really compounds at the end of year. While I was betting only in fiat as per regulations in my Country I had to pay 5% of every stake. Doesn't sound like much. But a the end of year i had a profit of about 1500$, without that 5% I would have profit of more than 10000$.
3. More detailed statistic - I am keeping track of various stats. Like % of win on doubles, trebles, multiples. Then % of wins trough different sports and even leagues. That is why i know that I have by far best results on Champions League and ATP1000 tennis tournaments, while I am awful in Grand Slams and Europa League. Helps a lot with stake management.

I think treating gambling like you do trading or with investing in bitcoin is a good idea (only play with what you can afford to lose), though I'd feel a little off calling gambling an investment personally.  

This could be one of those language barrier things. I also treat trading as investment as well as buying BTC obviously. I treat everything I expect return on, as investment. I consider all 3 of above mentioned as high risk investments but at this stage in my life that is the only kind I have enough money for  
And always, only use cash you can afford to lose.

I really need a good crypto accepting betting site. By good I mean reputable, without limits and with best possible odds (smallest margins). Bitcoin rush has good odds/margins and markets but user experience is terrible, nitrogen is lagging a bit on odds and very much on markets while wbet7 could have better odds. Have I missed anything really good?

I can't use non local fiat betting sites because of probable tax problems down the line. And local ones take 5% of your stake + 10% of your winnings which is horrible and make serious betting impossible.

@hilarious yeah longshot away bets I don't mind if I'm fairly confident of the team and fairly certain the favourites are going to be problematic, and for sure I don't even make any calls on those kind of tips more than 24 hours before the game. Too much can change then, but right now, on evidence of form, the best Hammers can do is take a point of Chelsea.

Trofo, hilarious, Re betting, I agree with treating gambling as a form of entertainment and it's exactly how I see it, whether it's a one-off at a casino on a holiday, or a season of football. I pay good money for a night out, or a good film at a fancy setting, and I consider a season long bankroll for football an additional aspect of the entertainment. I wish I'd tracked things more properly over the years, but kind of like how I don't really track my expenditures on books or other form of entertainment, as long as I know at max I spent what I can afford to lose.

Having said that, my recent tracking does give a sense of how shitty a sports tipster I really am;) If not for the occasional lucky strikes, like Newcastle beating City, I'm deep in the red.

When it comes to soccer betting I tend to stick to the National League as it's where I have the most knowledge. It's mostly bets placed against my team (Leyton Orient) so I'm happy with either a win for the team or some consolation winnings for the pub afterwards! That said, if I see some tasty odds on an EPL game I'm often tempted into dropping a small wager, especially if it's one I'm planning to watch live with friends.

@Cloudbet, awesome and yes I recall the Leyton Orient mention in another thread (don't know if you recall my own association with them from a video game haha). I'm really behind in my football these days tbh, but I still faithfully keep up with Liverpool ever since I started properly following circa 2000 running up to their "haul of five". I really only couldn't watch them for the majority of seasons around 2011 and then again in 2015/16, but that was because of work in places without tv or internet. You're 7 games away from promotion, so good luck;)

@LFC you bet I am! I was up since 5am trying to rush off all my pending work so I can make dinner early and then sit by myself and watch. I'm going to keep betting singles on Lpool till the last game, and keep betting against City till the last game. I know they're too good to drop more than 2 point but who knows? The stars may yet align!

@buwaytress - Yeah we might have shot ourselves in the foot after this week's performances, the National League is going to go right down to the wire! 

I mentioned in the other EPL thread that I'm still backing Liverpool to win the title. I've just had a look at the remaining games and I'm predicting 13 points for Liverpool and 14 for Man City, meaning the Reds would take the league by a point.

Final Four Prediction:

Liverpool - 95 points
Man City - 94 points
Tottenham - 76 points
Chelsea - 74 points

Arsenal have some key players that seem to be struggling to perform, and Man Utd have a couple of tricky fixtures in the last few games.

We'll see soon enough but I am expecting Spurs to play another great game and make things difficult for the City. Before the first game i had a feeling this one could go into extra time and I still think so, just tough we would have draws and Spurs surprised me and won first game. Who knows how would the game developed if Lloris didn't save the penalty in the early stage of the match.

Still, even if they were out of the CL, they'd still have some tougher matches to play.  The Manchester derby is still in a couple of weeks ffs.

And they got Palace away this weekend.  You never really know with Palace when they're at home.  They got Tottenham again in the league, right after their CL match.  Then Burnley away.  That's kinda tough too.

Currently on the mobile so I wasn't able to find related posts in this thread. Anyway it looks every bit a tight race as it was on the day the bet was made. Maybe the odds shifted a little bit on my competitor side.
