Well, lads I totally forgot about this again. You'd swear I have memory loss or something how I continuously forget about this competition. Anyway, I did say you could probably consider my entry a donation , and that appears so. I also used a temporary email, and I'll be honest I'm probably not going to go into the effort of remembering that considering I'm already several weeks behind . It's alright, I don't mind picking up the wooden spoons. You could and should still play for the weekly yellow caps ($50) and the weekly predictions (2.5 mbtc prizes or thereabouts). I don't want to give false hopes and say you could still place after missing so many weeks BUT I'd enter all my predictions for every gameweek you're able to if you can, if that's the last thing you do And yeah. Zidane's the best but he's already said no. Poch and Nagelsmann would be awesome but they're not done with their projects yet. Glazers have a business model that keeps them in profit without winning trophies or playing beautiful football. They see OGS as a critical part of that model. He's staying. Only thing I can think of now that'll get him the boot is relegation (heh heh).

Damn, you cracked me up with this one. That would be an interesting way for Ole to enter into history books. I don't think there has ever been a team as expensive as United that managed to get relegated Would be fun to see for sure. English papers are great to crucify people for a lot less so I am expecting some interesting articles if United continues to perform like shit.

Seriously, there aren’t many top managers available mid season. Also the Man Utd job is a poisoned chalice, they’re obviously a big club but they have huge expectations & the squad needs a big overhaul. Too many overpaid players in that squad, they need a real clear out & that includes coaches & back room staff too. They are a bit of a mess atm & any top manager would be putting their reputation on the line by taking over there.

In the current situation, this is even hypothetically impossible ... Manchester needs to win another 3 or 4 games to receive funding from the Premier League in the next season. But I definitely agree that their coaching staff sucks. To acquire one of the most famous players in the world and not create for him a team support that grows in scoring chances is a failure. By the way, it is strange that Salah takes only fourth place in the "golden ball" nomination.

yeah, Manchester cannot relegate, it is impossible they are on tough road, but having 14 points is almost half that will be needed for avoid relegation it is interesting to theorize about that, and see Ole (although I really like Ole from playing days, maybe biased) leading team with Ronaldo into championship, but it is out of chance

Anyway, I did say you could probably consider my entry a donation , and that appears so. I also used a temporary email, and I'll be honest I'm probably not going to go into the effort of remembering that considering I'm already several weeks behind . There's still the free $50 bet to play for every week and also probably 0.01 for the overal highest yellow cap. It's alright, I don't mind picking up the wooden spoons.
I don't think they give you then unless you're active. Hoody Hoo and Leea-1334 got it for the last round with 3 points, though not sure why alexr wasn't awarded it with 2. Maybe it's because at least one of his picks were a default one and thus disqualified him from it. Honestly, if they haven't sacked him after losing to their biggest rivals by the biggest margin in their history, I doubt he's going to get sacked anytime soon. I'd put money on him lasting the season at least, if you take a look at Gary Neville on the post match discussions, he's trying his hardest not to throw Ole under the bus, and I'm wondering if the Glazers are trying to be cautious about sacking a Manchester United icon, after the back lash they've received recently.
Though, to be honest most fans would probably support him getting the sack despite being a icon.
You have a point here, if they have not sacked him after loosing 5:0 to Liverpool at home, they don't plan to do it anytime soon. This was a perfect opportunity and I don't think any fan would give them problems after performance like that, no matter him being an icon. It is not just the result, United simply does not have a game to play against top clubs and with the players and budget under Ole disposition that is unforgivable. There is no shame in loosing to LFC, but loosing 5:0 almost without a fight... I don't see the point in this culture of sacking managers after a bad loss or a run of poor form. I'm not sure what's expected of Ollie/Man U but they're not the best team in the league any more. In fact they're probably not even top 3. Getting into the CL league should be seen as a huge success for them given the quality that's in the league right now and finishing second last year should be good enough for Ollie. Whoever manages them will probably just have the same problems as the last few mangers but I'm sure if a big manger like Zidane showed interest they'd snap him up.

I am also against sacking managers prematurely but I feel like Ole has lost the dressing room. Add to that the fact that united has no game at all plus the most expensive defensive line in whole PL and most goals conceded in PL. Not hundred percent sure previous statement is true but I sort of feel like I read that data somewhere, not feeling like googling it, close to truth for sure Second place finish last season was great result and I also agree CL qualification should be their target this season, 4th position is the maximum they can get unless something totally unexpected strikes one of top 3 teams, City, Chelsea and LFC.

I think I lost my enthusiasm to make the picks for the week but I did it anyway. Gone for big with Liverpool and City. To be honest the pool is not working for me LOL. I can not believe I am in 18th position 🤣 Second place finish last season was great result and I also agree CL qualification should be their target this season, 4th position is the maximum they can get unless something totally unexpected strikes one of top 3 teams, City, Chelsea and LFC.
It's too early to predict but do you guys still think Liverpool is moving under the radar? I would say boys are exposing them too early LOL

Liverpool is looking like one of the most constant teams in the Premier League so if they continue this way I am pretty sure they will having a look to win that title again.
As for the predictions,I just put them in and the games in paper look easily predictable but we all know that the Premier League is full of surprises. This serves also as a bump for people who haven't put their predictions yet as the first game start today after a couple of hours in 13:30 and is a big one Leicester vs Arsenal.

Agree with hilarious as I've said in the past. Ole's not at fault, it's the club's management. Fans walking out wasn't about him, but about the Glazers and -- as I also said before, about his own stars. They're simply not doing enough on the pitch. Not working hard enough, not tracking back hard enough, and then all that nonsense talk about tactics? Don't blame the tactics if you're not putting your 100% into each game. Anyway, Spurs to win today is my bet, followed by Atalanta next up. And THEN I'll bet on United vs City Damn, you cracked me up with this one. That would be an interesting way for Ole to enter into history books. I don't think there has ever been a team as expensive as United that managed to get relegated. Would be fun to see for sure. By the way, it is strange that Salah takes only fourth place in the "golden ball" nomination. I thought it was always strange to see nominations. Remember Salah's last win in Puskas? Love the guy but even he was sort of embarrassed to have the goal as he was sure himself he scored many better ones. And yeah, I never wish bad upon a team but as a Liverpool supporter who had to take a lot of thrash talk from United over the last 2 decades, I won't deny I'm enjoying OGS's reign at United. May it long continue. Relegation would be the best bit of schadenfreude too!

Oh, Ole definitely carries some of the blame. He's using a formation that cannot handle Ronaldo and Fernandes playing together and still doesn't have a defined core of 12-13 players he plans to mostly use throughout the season. United's defensive line is all over the place, even when both Fred and McTominay are playing - which nullifies their attacking threat as well.
Sancho was starting, now he isn't even among the 15 players, they are a man down against Liverpool with it being 5-0 and he's adding Cavani to Ronaldo up front.
Their management carries more of it though, Ole has been put in a terrible position with that panic Ronaldo buy. That alone looks likely to ruin their season.

What a horrible night for people who did bet on.The only good thing out from this is Arsenal win at Leicester which can be considered somewhat of a surprise, same as Burnley winning against Brentford and Liverpool and Manchester City not winning their games.I guess there is only Chelsea who I got right so far and is another nightmare week for me in the points.Let's hope Manchester United makes a win and somewhat saves this really bad week so far.

Good for me that I am not gambling from the last 6 or more months. If I was gambling than I would had a nightmare in this evening LOL The only good thing out from this is Arsenal win at Leicester which can be considered somewhat of a surprise Frustrating scenario: You had a pick of 0 - 2 win for Arsenal but half an hour before the kick off you thought the match could be a draw and you change it to 1 - 1. That's what I did 🤣 I was too optimistic with Liverpool. It was very early I have to admit LOL Seriously, we had a good chance to get those 3 points but we messed up.

what happened today? Chelsea won their match, and that is the only one that is close to reality, all the others are fairly surprises Crystal Palace is obviously good at surprising favorites, and Newcastle bosses will have to bring back the team for Championship, as a first step after lousy start, Arsenal is fifth? had to put 0:1 on Manchester United, after first results

Was it Man Utd that was just so good today, or it was just Tottenham being themselves again as we've seen repeatedly this season, I didn't watch yhe game live but I'm surprised by the scoreline, I would have expected a draw or marginal win from Man Utd. after lousy start, Arsenal is fifth?
Arsenal just had a really rough start, they've been able to get themselves together to show that they could still strive for a top spot.

Man, I would not rush to draw conclusions, since they have a meeting with Atalanta and Manchester City ahead of them, meetings after which Ronaldo will have problems with self-esteem. But in today's match, I think the nail in the coffin of such an unstable team as Tottenham was a goal before the break, honestly if I were a part of Spurs, I would have thought about this goal all 15 minutes of the break. By the way, the other two goals scored did not play a special role, except for taking Spurs into the "top" four in the ratio of goals scored to goals conceded.

Today Manchester United were far superior compared to Tottenham. If you see the names who scored like Cristiano and Cavani tells you a lot from what to expect in the upcoming games from Manchester United.Once these big names find harmony together with each other they will show great football and if surprises will continue to happen to the top teams like it happened today,a Manchester United fighting for the title would not surprise me at all.

I don't see it. United is strong in the attack but they are very bad when defending, any team that attacks them with lot of players will destroy them this season. I am expecting them to loose against both City and Atalanta, and concede at least 2 goals and probably more in those games. Would love that they prove me wrong, at least United is always fun to watch
