Right after last month's minting I switched all of my coins over to new addy's Worked like a charm on speeding things up and decreasing the usage; however the .05 seconds during the address was breath stopping I was so nervous lol (accidentally tipped someone $500 usd in mintcoins while moving from the exchanges a few months back) (lucky *.*.* doesn't even know it: http://explorer.mintcoinofficial.com/address/MczFhgBKy8HGi3hF6WRzaGQiusH1iSmutU ) the main thing I would like to see addressed in a mintcoin wallet update would be how resource intensive the windows wallet runs... I check my "task manager" quite often and it's the only wallet I run that uses an average of 500 mb of memory when most other wallets use about 125 mb's
my comp is getting older and stuff like that can be noticed if I have too many wallets open and comp starts lagging

Generally it would be because you have a lot of transactions in your wallet.dat so your computer is continually checking thousands of transactions which is a big draw on your computer power. Once you have some 15,000 Transactions or more (about 30-50 MB wallet) it will start to influence your computer performance and you can get rid of this by sending your Coins to a new wallet and getting rid of the old one. It's also influenced if you have a lot of very small Blocks trying to Stake as they are all competing against each other on your own machine to Stake.

wallet 1.17 works on Win 7 without issues so far.
I tried out SHAPESHIFT.IO and bought 2 millions (more) of Mintcoin. works well and fast. I received the coins in my wallet in just a few seconds after sending BTC. This is a great choice for those who are afraid of exchanges loosing your coins.

I wonder how it works. It leaves no record behind? So, u could anonymously buy mintcoin this way? Interesting. I wonder if it even works for very large amounts...what about slippage if you were a whale making a large move? U would also wonder if in that case they didn't front run your order.... I'll probably check it out sometime. Do they have other trading pairs too or just bitcoin?... Cuz it looks like bitcoin is slowly dying and I might like some alternatives to trade with...don't ask me what...mintcoin is the best IMO.

Just synced 1.17 from my 1.15 appdata roaming contents minus the wallet.dat... synced up nice and fast and now that it is synced with a blank/new wallet.dat file, the wallet is running at 553 mb's... making it the most memory intensive thing running on my computer (including firefox with 8 tabs open on it)

I can still play videogames like league of legends on my windows 7 PC with mintcoin running at the sane time. I hardly notice it. Very rarely do I shut it down. Thinking of getting anither PC to solely devote to mint eventually....

I will be getting one from "iGotSpots" for his 3 coins next month should be interesting

Consolidate coins in your wallet and it is less of a resource hog for sure, but I still keep it closed when I'm doing anything on the computer

Deleted the old wallet. Manually replaced the blockchains. Nothing seems to work:(

It seems unexpected crashes can sometime s cause it to glitch up. Downloading another altcoin wallet like hobonickels or something and open it then close it and go try to open mintcoin again. Its like it has to re-learn how to open a wallet again lol. Do other wallets open for you??? You could try uninstall everything and rediwnload it. Backup your wallet. Redinstall it and open with the new wallet. Then close and replace your wallet file with the old. Also how long has it been since you last synced your wallet? Are you using the latest version of mintcoin?
