I have an issue with the wallet (1.17) on the computer I've been running it on for a year (windows 7 64bit), the splash screen loads up, it loads the block index etc. The UI then pops up and sits there in a Not responding state. This happened after the computer lost power while the wallet was open and unlocked for minting.
The debug.log isnt showing any errors, the daemon seems to be running fine in the background behind the UI (I can see it updating the blockchain correctly).
I've found a way to get it running by simply copying the data to another computer (also windows 7 64bit) and running an identical copy, it runs fine then. Which leads me to think it's likely a temporary file or something lying around on the original computer that's not in the data folder or the mintcoin program folder.
You need to download and run the whitecoin wallet, then close it and open your mint wallet and it will be ok, I know it seems odd, but it works! When you do this, do you need to let the Whitecoin wallet sync completely before closing it out, or, will just running it for a bit, and then exiting work? I don't currently have any problems, just curiosity. You just open it for like 15 seconds. Then go back to Mintcoin and it should work. I believe any Mintcoin clone coins can do the trick too. Fixed it, I deleted the BitcoinURI file in the "C:\ProgramData\boost_interprocess\Select LastBootUpTime from Win32_OperatingSystem" folder Okay great. How did you figure that out?  I used Process Explorer to view the handles used by mintcoin, ignoring dlls, files in the mintcoin folder and registry entries that left just one file Tested it on a fresh datadir just to be sure. I guess whitecoin etc. are using a more recent version of the boost library. |

Update on Mintcoin on ARM architecture: 3 weeks to download the block chain - stable wallet and no issues Transferred all my mint so I have another 20 days wait to start low power minting.  Glad to see the price improve  |

Hello,
I have a weird problem. My mintcoin wallet shows, that I have only 70,000 coins - but its not synced. I haven't sinced the mintcoin like 6 months. I had a million mintcoins before. What happend? Will I get my coins when my wallet syncs?

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't. You can speed up the syncing by manually downloading the blockchain. |

You should - couple of questions: Do you have the latest qt? If not, get it here -> http://www.mintcoinofficial.com/If you're not running the latest version, you may have some trouble syncing. If there is a discrepancy after your wallet is fully synced, back up your wallet.dat somewhere safe, and run a checkwallet then repairwallet - and if that doesn't work, follow with salvagewallet. But - wait till it's synced before running any of those. Good luck, and post again if you need any help - we're always glad to help! |

I found using the reindex and rescan flags solved the missing coins problem for me in wallets for other coins. I won't be worried, it happens everytime you are syncing from a long way back. Just wait till it syncs, If problem is still around try what others have suggested. |

Just wait for it to sync. Then all your coins will show up, and you will probably start minting shortly after you are synced. Should be a nice chunk if you have waited 6 months. |

I think we need to move to POS 2.0 as soon as we find a developer. It will help with the staking as you will only earn interest if you have your wallet online all the time. Right now we have 2-3% staking with occasional spikes to 10-15% when people open wallets to earn their coins. This is bad for n/w security. You can fork the chain with only 5% of coins staking.
